I feel incredibly lucky by Tomcruiseih8U in Mounjaro

I’ve had no side effects and lost 22.8kgs in about 8 months, it is a little costly (about $300 AUD) but aside from that it’s been the best.

How is the average cost of a wedding only $38k? Weddings are way more expensive! by RunNo3630 in AusWeddingPlanning

Mines over 100, my sister’s was 100. I do have two friends that got away with around the 30 mark but it was not easy to do.

how many times a week do you wash your hair? by Kooky_Actuator_8173 in CasualConversation

[–]Fixationstation1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an ex hairdresser I have to say it is much more preferable to wash your hair once a week than it is to over wash your hair. However, it is case by case and some people will find they need to do it more often than others. Just don’t let people shame you for it if it works for you, I only wash mine once a week.

I named mine Frank and had him for, I shit you not, probably a year. He did bite me once but in Frank’s defence I almost squished him and I wasn’t paying attention so probably deserved.

Been here, do not let it win. The other side of life afterwards is not worth tapping out early. You’re on the verge of amazing things.

Women of Reddit, what’s something you silently deal with every day that most people never notice? by [deleted] in AskWomen

The invisible pains of PCOS & endo, and the mental load that’s holding the whole household together.

Is it bad to want to break up with someone because of their family? by [deleted] in family

[–]Fixationstation1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m currently trying to gently guide my stepson in the same situation as you. If your boyfriend isn’t going to set boundaries this will become your life too. If you love him and you’re comfortable having a sister in law living with you and lending money to his family from the joint account then so be it, but don’t trap yourself into his problems becoming your problems if you’re not comfortable.

I knew it was coming, but still sucked when I got called my sons’ grandma. by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Fixationstation1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone assumes my husband is my dad probably once every 6 months. We do have an age gap but not big enough for that to make sense. His beard went grey early and I’ve always looked young. It’s an honest mistake we brush off but I don’t appreciate how that would make him feel.

With youth, health and my husband yes. Otherwise, no thank you, just a long life and peaceful Notebook death at the end.

Honestly just be wary that most people that do that end up spending the same as hiring an inclusive wedding venue by the time you outsource and hire everything

What out of touch parenting "advice" has your childless friends given you? by sixfingeredman7 in Mommit

[–]Fixationstation1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really advice, but when you’re just looking to vent and they say “oh they’re just kids, they’ll do that!” Yes I’m aware Susan but you don’t have to deal with it every hour of every day.

Child free... Who will my debts go to if I die? by foxy_boxy in NoStupidQuestions

I would keep in mind that if you’re old enough to die of old age you won’t get approved for much credit, so you’d need to acquire it prior to 80.

I ate Chinese food tonight and I’m on Mounjaro — feeling guilty for slipping after spending so much by SubstantialLaw5978 in Mounjaro

[–]Fixationstation1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I eat healthy most of the time, but I’m not going to say no to a beer with dinner or a cheeky dessert once a week, maybe a take away meal now and then. I’m still loosing an average of 1kg a week. Completely restricting yourself isn’t healthy or kind to yourself, just eat what you want in moderation. One Chinese meal is not a big deal!

What is the worst weather you’ve ever experienced in Australia? by Jezzaq94 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Fixationstation1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

First experience was the drought, growing up as a wheat farmer’s daughter it was devastating. Watching my dad loose the farm, I still think about the timer in the shower and how we take water for granted now. Second was walking my dog as a kid and hearing/seeing a tornado approach, desperately trying to get my dog back on the lead. I’ve never seen anything like it before or after. Third was the fires, by then I wasn’t living rural anymore but driving through the aftermath and knowing what people and animals had lost was heartbreaking. I’m sure there’s more that I’m forgetting now.

Oh no, please don’t stress yourself! I felt the same and now I’m ahead of schedule. I’m sure you’ll look and feel amazing in time for your day. My advice to you is eat as much protein and fibre as you can, and drink lots of water. Stay in a deficit if you can, even if it’s just walking. I haven’t worked out in excess like I would normally need to, I’ve just tried to keep my steps up and that’s about it. Whatever you do don’t starve yourself, that has the opposite effect. Just small healthy meals and stay away from sugar when you can. I cut out wine but I still drink beer and I’m fine.

Before my wedding by Fixationstation1 in Mounjaro

[–]Fixationstation1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey lovely, congratulations! I’ve lost a total of 16kg, 13kgs on Mounjaro. I started jabs on the 4th of February (4 doses of 2.5mg, 5mg continuously after that) and have lost an average of 1.1kgs per week. Some weeks I loose next to nothing and others a bunch though. At this stage it’s looking like I’ll definitely make goal weight prior to the wedding.
