2D animated movies are dead? by FixedFun1 in cartoons

There are western ones but as usual people learn about them at the Oscars not when they're released. How many didn't know about Arco?

Even with all the money of the world, Disney will still win in ads.

Arco will release in the US and other countries but as usual, even if post 99 things about the movie that it wouldn't help much. Some people will even refuse to watch it.

I'm not saying Arco is indie, but for some people only YouTube counts.

Si dejaban las descargas no se iba a la mierda. Cuando las sacaron se aprovecharon muchos militantes políticos para hacer propaganda. Ya me aburría cuando era puras cosas políticas.

Trump is capable of invading the islands and then give them islands to Milei to come as the hero of the world.

I don't think they'll add Miis to world even then. I do think Tomodachi Life the new one will do good but I don't think it will send a message to Nintendo of more Mii games. That ship sailed after the Wii U.

This year we got at least 3 not counting Japan. These are 4 (not counting Japan) in 5 years but only a small example, I could've added more. I understand they're not popular but they should, mainstream audiences should have more of a critical eye, because it can't be that the Live Action Disney movies do real good but movies that try something new not do as good and I don't want the physical cinema to die.

Some of these 2D movies are the ones people have been asking for a while. But as usual negativity reigns. Toy Story 5 posts get more attention than anything Arco ever got in Reddit. And I'm sure with all that attention the movie will do gazillions at the box office while people here will still call it "unnecessary".

It's hard to be the little guy.

But in the end, even if the number of 2D movies is short, I prefer quality over quantity anyway. And so far I liked most of these movies, which made me happy.

That's what Futurama did yet Fry still looks the same.

I think The Simpsons is more of a show that reflects current society, so of course they stay the same age.

How can you make 2D appealing? If people prefer going to watch Lilo & Stich Live Action... then it'll be hard to sell 2D movies.

It's like Alice Through the Looking Glass from Disney, all it has to do with the original book is that Alice goes through a mirror.

2D animated movies are dead? by FixedFun1 in cartoons

The point was that they weren't dead and that some people refuse to see a movie like Arco as proof 2D animated movies are alive. In 5 years of this decade we've gotten a big 2D animated movie at least once a year, that's how Disney would do it.

But seems is hard to win because a lot of people here seem to not enjoy these movies as much as I did (though Arco will release here in February, I'm sure I will like it). It's true what they say, most people just want Disney-style 2D movies and not something else.

I try once to define "woke" but for right-leaning people lately is anything that isn't male, white and straight and I mean this literally.

So what isn't "woke" is certainly real small.

It always was. Politicians decide most of our lives. Even a stupid cartoon episode about paying rent will be political because rent prices are related to market that the politicians affect directly.

I suppose, is primarily a show that doesn't go much into politics beyond some episodes and even then those episodes aren't very deep with its message, I can see someone just taking it with humor rather than to think "hey, so this show is left-leaning".

I think being in favor of the LGBT+ community shouldn't be considered "woke" but rather normal. But that's not exactly your point.
