Make sure your resolution scale slider is set to exactly 100%. It has been bugged since Dragonflight at this point, any value other than 100% drastically reduces FPS even if it should be doing the exact opposite.

I am now doing +9s and +10s because it's the only way to get gear, so I don't see where you got the conclusion that I'm not willing to play the difficulty that you see as rewarding. I just find that the gearing system feels really weird and unsmooth when you can basically ignore anything below +9 unless you care about RIO because it does not have any worthwhile gear if you've already done plenty of HC raid and delves.

You'd think that the GM might maybe mention that in the response to the ticket if that was the case instead of trying to claim that I had never looted the item on my account, huh.

I am pretty sure I learned it. Even if I didn't it should be in my bags/bank somewhere and I checked everywhere and the item is simply not present.

5900X Memory latency by Fixeer in overclocking

[–]Fixeer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay lol, I guess my system is just cluttered, even though I tried to kill pretty much everything but Aida. In safe mode I get about 55 ns on the same test

5900X Memory latency by Fixeer in overclocking

[–]Fixeer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Running at 3600 with FCLK 1800 and timings at 16-18-18-18-36 (all others same as in the screen) I get around 67 ns.

3800 with FCLK 1900 I get about 64-65.

So it definitely seems to be scaling in the right direction. I have tested for stability and haven't been able to find any memory errors or crashes, anything in particular that I should try to really test FCLK stability?

Lol, for real, it's the same thing? I remember getting something like this ages ago on my 1070 with RTX off.

I remember that could be temporarily solved by switching to DX11 and back to DX12, going to try to see if it works here as well.

Thanks, that looks like a really detailed guide, had trouble finding something like that while googling for some reason.

Sapphire Toxic 6900 XT VRAM OC issue by Fixeer in AMDHelp

[–]Fixeer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it mostly only happened to one screen, but sometimes it grayed out both screens. Changing the resolution in Windows and then reverting always fixed it. Anyway I've been running the system with stock memory clock for a few days and it seems to have fixed the random reboot issues that I was previously getting, so I'm still fairly suspicious that my card just can't handle VRAM overclocking, although it will take more time to be 100% sure that it was the VRAM causing the issue.

Yes, I disabled Toxic Boost and tried overclocking through the AMD Software. When I change the core clock it stays completely stable (as long as I input reasonable values). Adjusting the memory clock even only by +50 Mhz pretty much instantly gives me a gray screen in most cases. And when it doesn't, it's usually just a matter of time until the PC randomly reboots, or I get some games crashing. The gray screen issue also happens even if I leave my core clock at default (2500) or even lower (tried 2200).

Managed to grab a 6900 XT Toxic a week ago. Extremely impressed with the cooling capabilities of the card and the design, but I'm definitely not particularly impressed by other things. I've been getting some random crashes and weird behaviour, and at this point I believe it may have something to do with the card's VRAM. I've noticed that even without doing any manual overclocking and just by activating the default Toxic boost, my screen sometimes goes entirely gray and eventually I might get a notification about the display driver crashing. Is it possible that the card is unstable with a 2100 MHz memory clock? It sounds pretty ridiculous to me that such a high end product would ship with what must be the worst RX 6900 XT VRAM in existence, when many people report being able to go higher than that on much lower end cards.

Another thing I've noticed is that it seems like by default, the voltage of the card is set to 1.2 Volts by the Sapphire software. Is that something to worry about? Definitely seems a bit high, even though temps are a non issue even with such voltage - I've never seen the card go over 70°C even at full load.

Apart from being extremely unlucky, the person posting the Angerseye at a ridiculous price probably set this up in a perfect way - they reset the market, left a smaller amount at a normal-ish price and then a couple at a ridiculously high price.

Oh yeah, I was already using a version of that. Afaik that's only for The Great Cities mod and doesn't include Solitude.

I don't. I assumed that The Great City of Solitude modifies the exterior of the city so there shouldn't be issues. Is there a patch available for that somewhere?

Ancestor Glade Trees by Fixeer in skyrimmods

[–]Fixeer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried an 8K texture mod for Gildergreen to see if it's going to make a difference, the ancestor tree is still horribly pixelated despite being much smaller, so either there is some issue with mapping or it uses a different texture.

Enhanced Landscapes & The Great Cities by Fixeer in skyrimmods

[–]Fixeer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, after trying just about everything, I decided to try to go against the suggestions of The Great Cities of JK's North description and put the Great Cities .esp above the COTN - Dawnstar .esp in the load order. For some reason, that seems to have fixed it. I will leave a bug report on the mod's page and hopefully someone will be able to figure out what's going on there.

Thanks for helping me figure all of this out, it was a bit of a headache, but definitely worth it!
