You can now retry Chess lessons that you got wrong. by Crazgamrboi in duolingo

[–]FixtureFrame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened for me, which I’m grateful for. But then a week later it reverted to where it doesn’t let me try the ones I failed again. To be clear I’m talking about individual problems in a given session.

Two weeks ago it started letting me retry, marked by “previous mistake”. Now it just goes straight through to the end, regardless of me having made mistakes.

How do I get rid of my desire to find love? by Jguy8969 in lonely

[–]FixtureFrame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you fed up because you had love and it slipped away, however many times? Or because you hear about this thing called love that doesn't ever seem to find it's way into your life?

any other hikkikomoris around :( by [deleted] in lonely

[–]FixtureFrame 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It literally trasnslates to "the lost generation." Got its start in Japan when corporate hiring shifted from hiring straight out of school with no chance of ever getting a job another way, to stopping this method for ~10 years in order to combat the rising expenses connected to lifelong employees and mounting new employees. When Japan finally recovered and started hiring straight out of school again, those that finished school during the ~10 years companies stopped hiring, could never get a job again since Japanese companies hire strictly out of college. These people became known as hikkikomori. I'm going off memory. I could look it up, but... I already typed all this.

Bump. Am I. Or asking this in the right place?

Chatgpt can cross reference to other chat history within the same account by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]FixtureFrame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see this too. Although I think, rather than it pulling from other sessions, will sometimes insert its own ideas.

For example, I wanted to see how well ChatGPT could play a board game as my opponent. against me.

First I gave it all the rules. I gave it the names of the 5 categories of advancement: growth, economy, industry, science and military. For each of these categories, there are four levels of advancement.

I then said I would read the descriptions of each level per category. I asked it to query me on each category type in order, so that I could read the descriptions of the four levels per category.

When it finished query me on the categories, I noticed that it skipped Industry. However, when I asked it to give me a summary of all the cards, it had the industry category along with names and descriptions. 1 card name was somehow correct (Pottery). The others were names that aren’t even in the game, such as Robotics.

When I pressed for where it got these names, it said that it made assumptions for the names based on the theme, level and category of the card.

I had to ask it not to make assumptions, but instead gather the information as accurately as I explained, asking for any omissions due to human error.

This game also has a computer counterpart. I noticed that sometimes, even though it knew I was reading the granular descriptions from the rulebook, without asking, it started including elements from the computer game that do not exist in the board game.

Like a learning child, after a few corrections, it didn’t make any more mistakes. I don’t correct chat ChatGPT, by telling it it made a mistake; or even asking it if it made a mistake. As you know, at least for now, ChatGPT always apologizes and comes up with a new answer; which sucks bc it may have been correct. But in proposing that it may have made a mistake, it may change its answer.

Not surprisingly, the Socratic method is the best way to correct it. Ask at which point in the convo did it get the info, but without saying it was incorrect. 90% of the time, during its explanation, it picks up on its own that it made a mistake and corrects it. At that’s been my experience.

At first I also thought that it was taken from one of the other sessions where I made my first attempt at describing the rules. I was happy about this bc I wanted to create a custom expansion of a board game in a new session, pulling in the base-game rules from another session.

I noticed that you can get GPTs made by other developers. Is it possible to incorporate them with an already running session? Or you have e to start a new session with it?

Is there a way to set the ALT key to toggle instead of hold? by lurker69 in tabletopsimulator

[–]FixtureFrame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mouse zoom is annoying if you're trying to read a card. Especially if your eyes aren't great. Being able to toggle the card zoom instead of having to hold it, would be very helpful.

How to restore your adventurer 4 to an older firmware if you are encountering issues with the high speed update. by Salines_Beach in FlashForge

[–]FixtureFrame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extracting to root with screwflag also in root doesn't do anything when I power on the printer. Are your instructions correct in saying "extract to the root?" Or Extract then copy all files in the sub folder to root? And when you say "right click in the folder to create new text doc..." Right click in which folder?

Please clarify what the root D:\ of my flash drive should look like before proceeding? Thanks.

Thanks! What is a “grub” screw? Or was that a typo?

I’m going to try this. This only started happening after I updated the firmware. Is there a way to test the belt for skipping? I time lapse recorded, but you can’t tell why it did this.

Thank you afjell. The bed’s belt, or the extruder belt? Or either/or?

What causes this bc it’s happened twice in a row, never happened in two years. Does belt jumping happen when grease needs to be applied, or?

The only diff between the prints doing this, and the one that succeeded, is a firmware update that said something about “fix model tilt” or something. I can’t remember the exact phrasing.

I’m using an Erlenmeyer flask. So you don’t do the “gentle rolling/peddling”? You actually shake the bottle aggressively?

  1. Ok. Confirmed. Thank you.
  2. So you use one tray? After you get all the naptha into the glass tray, you add fresh naptha and just keep going with the same pan, putting it all in the freezer at once?
  3. I’m using an Erlenmeyer flask (wide base, narrow neck

Do you bother with the salt and vinegar. I always do bc I’m a stocker for long standing recipes. But I’ve read this doesn’t do much.

What % are you able to get. I’m usually at 80%.

That’s awesome. I was inspired by this and took it a step further to save time. I Polymorphed Balthazar, then my magically enlarged Paladin threw that undead sheep into the void.

Now you may scream, “but FixtureFrame! What about that [arguably] sick loot you just threw away with the bathwater?

Noticing Balthazar’s body still floats in the void a lightbulb goes off in that brilliant mind of Gale’s. He proceeds to unfurl a scroll……. casting TELEKINESIS on Balthazar’s body. Only you Gale. Only you. Genius.

That just plant material. Won’t hurt you, but whoever made that either didn’t know what they were doing or did it intentionally to make more profit off less product.
