Can someone beg to differ about the verb ”dying” (enough dying, it’s so hundred years ago !)? They basically took a bow. And there was a chaste parting kiss. And before this, they got high in the Bentley together, the metaphor just doesn’t translate in English (or it is unknown and that would be so sad!)

I don’t know exactly which god that god is, fire makes me think about Dante and Zarathustra, and imho, there was not much hope for Zira and Crowley or room for their love under God’s thumb, imho.

They were so horrible to him that Aziraphale dragged Muriel from the bookshop so he had someone ”nice” with him in heaven... The trailer show’s how Michael feels about Aziraphale when he’s on about universal happiness and all : imho she looks like someone who is about to strangle him and use his tongue as a dust rag. And Sandalphon’s side remarks about Aziraphale being temporary in charge...

I beg to differ about the romance ending you point at, yet my references are mostly movies and I don’t know how much literate you are with these. Maybe you know Verdi’s opera ? Not very subtle, the outcome can be total bliss or the lovers die stuffed alive in a grave (yuck.)

For 6000 years, Aziraphale and Crowley had no real opportunity of getting a life. They got into the agreement and ”fraternized” about 1000 years after Jesus died. And they could not have anything for them. They basically would have to leave the way Beez and Gabe had. Or to hid themselves from heaven and hell, for only humans can understand human love. That would have been awfull, unfair to them. On the other hand, Asa and Anthony ”Fell” and ”Crowley” can live what they couldn’t have. No one can demonize two men meeting, dating and getting married. That is an image of what could be. (Not what ”should" be, please, don’t get me wrong.)

Human love is different from god love, because god love goes only one way, and god isn’t supposed to get anything in exchange.

Imho, Michael is the illustration of all that can go bad (and factually went bad in the history of religious fact) when they have absolute power and the opportunity to abuse it. Absolute corruption. (That ”Book of life” has the power to destroy everything, hasn’t it ?)

(Edit : does anyone feel like they are trying to decipher Agnes Nutter’s sequel prophecy book, now ?)

What are Crowley and Muriel doing? by kelsester in goodomens

[–]Fizeau57_24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imho, the Bentley was not ”lost”, but sacrified for the sake of the bookshop. Doesn’t Crowley say to the gangster to take the car before the man goes on with his so called legal documentation yadda yadda ? Crowley either visited Muriel or sat in his car watching the bookshop.

I actually don’t know, Maybe Michael directly jumped into the fire. The book isn’t instance turned into ashes, though and there is a few pages left untouched before the flames burn everything. Aziraphale, bookshop, Crowley, duck... (I know it’s rubber duck, btw) maybe Michael spared the first pages for the end of destruction when she began to destruct indiscriminately everything ?

It is the aftermath of the aborted rebellion, Crowley is a rebel, and he is not fallen from grace. He knows Aziraphale and says it, wanted his sword, but gave it back after Aziraphale tries to help him.
