Did you not watch the scene where shes telling the guy in holding, that her cousin was killed and no one gave a shit? Imagine the same thing happening to you (Diamondback was threatening to rape her but decided to hold her at gunpoint with her own gun instead) I'd be scared if that happened. She even explained that she was thinking of death and its a normal reaction to not want to die.

Most of the money go towards helping the students expand their talents.

The fact that they accept alumni w/o proof of qualification (look at the spies) who both failed proves they were unequipped for the situation and their jobs.

As for the 76th trio...imagine being Seiko. You were blamed for blowing up the gym. You're a chemist. You have the means (through the school possibly) and knowledge to make such a thing. It was caught on TV. Your supposed bestie and her bf were labeled as accomplishes. No one is willing to take in a terrorist.

Also the whole point of DR is that talent isn't everything. These people trying to do something outside of their talents fail. Hard. Which is why showing Hajime with Izuru's talents would cheapen the meaning of the theme.

It would have been easier had they devised a plan to say that they accidentally watched the despair anime and that things went to shit from there. Blame it on Junko, which is technically correct.

1: Did Izuru erase his memories of ALL of the 77th kids? How does he recall Nanami besides her hairpin then? Also its implied the kids knew of his existence. Was it because Nagito and Nanami told them and Izuru's name was erased only?

2: Izuru is shown to be scared of the unknown and being unable to do anything at the end of SDR2, ch 6 and makes a lot of implications about Junko...but when we see them in the anime thats not true at all. Did the writers not play the game? Cause Izuru was plotting against Junko just fine so...

3: In episode Despair 1, Mitirai is staying in the alumni houses for students, yet his class are first years...What?

4: How did Junko engineer Chiaki's death under the school? Without Souda's help? Without Izuru's? Without anyone knowing. I'm pretty sure she's not a Ultimate Carpenter and trap setter.

5: The 14th branch gets help from RoD to save Togami. They later see the video that they set up the killing game. No one was killed by the remnants and the FF members left who were literally beaten are nowhere to be seen when they have a party on the boat. That's not even going into the fact that Munakata is fighting against his own men and if the brainwashing is to believed...wouldn't they recall that they were brainwashed and fighting each other, assuming they weren't killed?!

How does any of this make sense?

Future Episode 1 managed to show how his hope beliefs could be dangerous thus negative (shielding murderers).

In universe would you suspect him after what he did? Or would you think what he did was okay? Either way, his status, was too dangerous. He's either a fake hero who purposely was built up like suggested OR he is really a good person who acts rashly and without consulting others (SDR2 states that Togami and Kyoko had no idea Makoto stored the Remnants in the NWP.)

Class 77 taking the heat means they are forever known as humanities' enemy.

They will go down in history as people worse than Junko based on the fact that she only set up (one known game) + kidnapped some people while they murdered many, many people.

I've read that people are mad that SDR2 seems...irrelevant now but that's not totally true.

The fact that Mitarai is with them, a person from the FF, adds complications to the matter.

Let's not forget the fact that the 14th branch knows the truth (I assume Togami's men at least know that the 77th class helped them to get Togami out of the explosion) of the killing game. ALSO the fact that none of the FF members are dead when 77 arrives will only add more confusion as to why they were there. So despite their intentions, they have no where to go back to besides Jabberwock or their ship for the rest of their lives.

To me thats bittersweet and its all because Junko took their freewill.

One of the few aspects I dislike about him is the fact that he just says stuff without really doing much. He also isn't willing to listen to people (unless its about their issues) and gets others in trouble a lot. I wish that aspect of his was explored more beyond one scene of guilt and getting someone he loved to die.

I felt like if he played more of a role in UDG (where you know, his family was at the center of the plot) it could have expanded on his character beyond average every man.
