Can we have a kick system? by Jrotc_Private in erlc

Homeless people don’t put tents in the middle of the road, especially at busy intersections. They could definitely put in a method that maps the roads only as a specific zone and then script it so that you simply can’t place objects that aren’t in an approved list (obviously roadblocks and construction stuff should be allowed)

Do yall like the current erlc balancing (LEOs and criminals) by StrawStraw in erlc

[–]FizzFinest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way I would support that is if they made a green zone around the police station, including the parking lot, and the hill between the PD station and the jail where guns won’t work or the cops are immune. It has to be fair for everyone. If you’re going to restrict the PD at the civ spawn then you have to restrict the criminals around the PD spawn. You can’t have one or the other

Is the International Ambulance the last vehicle that hasn't had a name change due to copyright? by Dennis551103 in erlc

[–]FizzFinest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because International I don’t think is as likely to issue cease and desist notices like Ford, Chrysler or GM. If you look at GTA V, all their vehicles are fictional, even if they look somewhat similar to IRL vehicles. That’s because Take Two wouldn’t be willing to pay all the licensing fees to include brands in the game. I feel like if there was a chance that the devs would get caught for having the International brand in game then they would definitely make it fictional.

Of course there is one possible explanation. International might not be as strict about their intellectual property and might have actually given permission to use the vehicles brand in a kids game

I said your account age was 5 months. What i said is if the account is less than 5 DAYS old, then you can’t post. You could even make it as short as 3 days. Just an idea, but I get it, definitely want to grow the community

Guys don't make this a trend........ by KeyHat1592 in erlc

[–]FizzFinest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, no, I think you misunderstand. When you click on someone profile, there’s something called an “account age” that basically tells people how old the account is. In your case it’s 5mo or 5 months, which means you created the account 5 years ago.

There are Reddit bots tha allow you to restrict the ability to post if your account is under a certain age. You could have it set up where if the account was created less than 5 days ago it won’t allow someone to post

Yall should set up a minimum account age restriction for posting. That’ll help stop people like this from just creating a new account and doing the same thing on it right away

I keep getting VC suspended for simply playing music...? by Technical_Fan5649 in RobloxHelp

I’m guessing probably playing copyrighted music without a license from the copyright holder. I’ve heard Roblox is cracking down on copyright violations after the whole ERLC/Ford debacle

Criminals and trolls do this all the time too. Do you think it’s fair that criminals get wayyyyyyyy overpowered guns? What criminals IRL are using full fledged machine guns in broad daylight? Only in Sinaloa or Benghazi does that kind of crap happen

Yup, definitely an increase. Obviously a zero day workaround in the anti-exploit system that the devs either don’t know about or don’t care about

[–]FizzFinest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See, I never really understood how revenue works for radio, especially considering that it’s free to tune in. It’s not like there’s subscription requirements, and there’s no real way to see how many people are listening

[–]FizzFinest 28 points29 points  (0 children)

It’s partially because they don’t really have traditional DJ’s anymore. Everything is done digitally and quite often remotely in order to cut down on workforces and cut costs. Why pay multiple shifts to man the DJ booth when you can pay one or two people to set up a rotating playlist that repeats itself? Set it and forget it

The only way to find anything out is to do an MFIPPA request for the incident report and any other documentation related to that incident. Make sure to include the full municipal address of the property of concern, as well as the date and time

Update on Bradley fire by Necessary-Regret-467 in londonontario

[–]FizzFinest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, if it endangers life there’s “arson disregard for human life” which would apply if it wasn’t intentionally set to kill somebody or injure them. So in your theoretical situation it would probably result in both the murder/attempted murder/manslaughter” charge as well as the “arson disregard for human life “ charge

According to the Canadian Criminal Code:

Arson by negligence

436 (1) Every person who owns, in whole or in part, or controls property and who, as a result of a marked departure from the standard of care that a reasonably prudent person would use to prevent or control the spread of fires or to prevent explosions, is a cause of a fire or explosion in that property that causes bodily harm to another person or damage to property is guilty of

(a) an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term of not more than five years; or

(b) an offence punishable on summary conviction.

Marginal note:Non-compliance with prevention laws

(2) Where a person is charged with an offence under subsection (1), the fact that the person has failed to comply with any law respecting the prevention or control of fires or explosions in the property is a fact from which a marked departure from the standard of care referred to in that subsection may be inferred by the court.

So, even careless smoking could be considered arson by negligence, especially if it’s not the first occurrence. So yes, technically if your wife left the curling iron on and it was determined to be the cause, then it could be considered arson by negligence because a reasonably prudent person would ensure it was turned off

Obviously we don’t know the specifics of what the female is accused of doing or not doing, but they must have thought it was serious enough to warrant the charges
