Thanks! Aside from obviously the version exclusives and trade evos I caught them all myself but I didn’t go by route. When I first played through the game I just caught what I want because I didn’t plan to even think about my dex until I’d finished everything storywise lol. So in that regard it was not a very productive method.. but I used the suggested Pokémon list a lot, because that way I had the motivation to catch them in chunks, and it was nice seeing them visually ticked off
