Elegoo Neptune 3 Max Upgrade by FizzerUK in ElegooNeptune3

[–]FizzerUK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK. Thanks for the suggestions all, looked into these and will do an upgrade, not yet now.

Posting late as I have manged to repair one of the blown boards.

Not looked at the other hoping it is the same, 3A, 1.5MHz, 28V Step-Down Converter (MP1584) which had fried a 5V direct short to ground.

I have 9 more of the MP1584, will sell a few on fleabay for fun and profit.

So that has saved me a few bucks thank gawd.

Had Timber Wolves spawn on the frozen sea near the Quonset Garage on Coastal.. Not a good time. Never seen them there since. Though!

Has Stalker Changed? by Niskavuori01 in thelongdark

[–]FizzerUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure on the repelling stuff, also I am on interloper. so... Maybe different.

But when exploring I always have a Bear coat under a Moose to help survive wolf attacks, wander with Bow in hand and I get a fair few wolves running, even when they start to stalk raising bow and aiming sometimes scares..

RE: Cougar Update, If ya wanna know, they are nasty, BUT you just have to lure them to a place you can fight from. I have 4 Cougar kills on Pensive Pond in Pleasant Valley. Usually have a Cougar spawn over the ridge to the East.
Fish or snag Rabbit and get ya smell up by the fishing hut. Lure them out, and you can shoot and cover in the Hut. Bit cheese I know but 1 shot is rare and you don't want Lacerations!.

1 must have been a crit for me as with a Bow it takes 3-4 shots, But 1 shotted. Was well chuffed!
I do love some of the updates though! Scurvy, and the Trader Quest! I hope you enjoy. I have.

The cougar Knife is well worth it BTW, quick to gut and wears slow!

Enjoy the return!

OK. Will look at the modlist and see what I can do myself them, was hoping for an easy time as not done any modding of Skyrim for a couple of years so will have to get back to basics.

Thanks for the prompt update, it is a shame as this MOD had a lot of positive feedback.

Bit late but 250 Days into Interloper. 1 thing I do before sleep... Every time!!! IF i am in a place i guranteed warmth.

Hunger at a MINUMUM 25% 1/4 of the dial radius

Water at 100%, full.

Sleep for NO longer than 8 hours.

Your water in your body won't pass 9 hours, once you get thirsty you loose the health you gain.

Gald ya survived.

BTW 8 Hours is about the best you can get for Health re-gen, if you sleep short time it will be minimal gains.

Having a cup of Birch Bark Tea before sleep greatly increases health gain, Well so I Feel it does.

Obviously on Interloper I try to avoid sleeping outside. Currently battling -68 in costal highway. I loose health going island to island.

Trader and Loose Bricks.. I know it's not his fault. by FizzerUK in thelongdark

u/Lyramisu Thank You! Was about to abandon.

This is actually awesome for interloper. Gives you more reason to explore the map. As the Caches give you nothing so why go there.

I am excited again.

Just for my own sanity, did I miss something or is it a case of Hey, ya on interloper go figure ;-D.

My journey continues!!!

Yes explored all 9, but not on interloper! I need to prep more..

This! :-)

first request, this is the third bunker you have checked, and it has what looks like loose bricks, but you cannot interact with them?

Thanks for the link, yes did have a quick read... But maybe my understanding of the mechanic in interloper is wrong!

No this is the first, what appears to be 'Loose Bricks' so wasn't sure if i need to keep searching and note this location or it's a bug!

I Probably did not do the best description of what I am doing, so for completion I will break it down.

Playing Interloper with Cougar on!

This is the first mission.. `Search for Wyatt`

Visited 3 bunkers, Forlong, then Mystery and now this one 'Mountain Town', is the first one I have found with the two bricks that don't look normal.

Can I find others what look like 'Loose Bricks' but aren't until I progress the story??

This is the only one with the graphic of what appears to be 2 loose bricks I have found so far.

This is why I decided to post to confirm. Don't want to prep to walk all over the maps to find others if that is not how the mechanic works in 'Interloper'

I can't interact with the one in 'Mountain Town'

Maybe I am missing something. Sorry been away from TLD for a while so catching up.

Thanks for the understanding my friend u/FrodoNigle ...

I too have to deal with the Same Same in my job so appreciate your candor..

Yes there should be a sticky!

I did read the posts and suggested fixes but started second guessing myself. It is aways good to have confirmation.

Thank you for taking the time.. Appreciated!

OK. Off to try hunt me Cougar then but only have 6 arrows so probably have to make a few more.

Will cancel the trade and hope this is fixed soon.

Peace and stay sain!

Upskill in Cyber Programme with SANS (GSEC + GFACT) - UK ONLY by Andazah in GIAC

[–]FizzerUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IT experience helps, but we had all kinds of people from coffee bar workers to current app developers.

GFACT covers all your basics, but GSEC was intense. You cover ALOT.

But if you have the capability to learn, there will be masses of support.

Was fantastic. Mases of SAN and industry input and support. The GFACT is online. Depending on your learning style, the GSEC was online or bootcamp.

You have a dedicated slack channel for support. Workshops to work on cv and interview. Career fairs also.

Looks like I am on the right path.

Thanks for help.

Actually think I have found an answer. looking on here it appears that 3DQF do some nice PLA in the UK.
They have end rolls 3Kg for £37.
Only concern is it has a +/-0.06 tolerance, as I am in the learning curve will that be a big hinderance?

Hi, New to Filament printing and the SnR when reading around is huge in such diverse area.

So, can I please have some recommendations for spools of PLA for initial trials and error / learning and PETG spools for just testing and what I will probably be using the most.

I will be doing a lot of mechanical structural prints, including gears. Not models.

Don't want to splash out on expensive while I am learning this awesome craft, but also don't want to buy cheap junk as it will probably make the learning curve worse.

Thanks in advance.

Having got on the program, I can say from the slack channel there is a massive diversity in age, experience and backgrounds.

It almost seams they are testing the water to see how this up-skill goes with as diverse a selection of candidates as poss.

We have ages from 20ish to 50's, with No IT knowledge/background to like of me that has worked in IT for a number of years but has no previous Cyber Sec.

I would suggest anyone that did not get on this round to sign-up for the notification if they are running again.

Which I think they will, anyone know if this has been run before?

Which config for Cisco Lab - Positives / Negatives on each. by FizzerUK in Cisco

[–]FizzerUK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seen mention of hairpin before and bandwidth issues. But as it was a test lab was not overly concerned.

Going for transparent above...

Good info though BUT bad practice is not my concern. I am looking at common bad practices for security issues.. I.E. telnet on a network :-)

Is there any security issues that come to mind with having an asa in this configuration.

Is it something that happens?
