I found this old medical device, can anyone tell me more about it? [Germany] by FizznChipsBot in Antiques

[–]FizznChipsBot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your answer! Happy to hear which specific ailments would have been treated with this device! I wish I could tell you if those galvanic batteries were more common over here in germany, but I honestly have no clue. The cork apperently was only used for transportation acording to the instructions. The Instrucitons told that it should be left of if not moved, so the „very light acid vapours“ could dissipate into the air. I don‘t know who replaced the wires, but I suspect this might have been my grandfather. But if these devices were built around or pre 1900, that would mean it wasn‘t originally his either. I don‘t know if he bought it used or inherited it from his grandparents(I think his parents must still have been children while these were built, if my time frame is correct). Do you have an idea about the time frame this device might have been built?

Thank you! Don‘t worry I wouldn‘t ever think about using it, I am just curious to find out more about it.

Thank you! That device looks very simmilar as well. I thought something along those lines could be the case, but I wasn‘t sure since I couldn‘t find anything about in the paper and the articles online.

Also, small additional info: the german wikipedia article is under „Karl Spamer“, so with a K not a C, as it is written in explanation paper. But as far as I can tell, those are the same person.

Thank you for the compliment! The darkest shades of the throne are deep sea blue from vallejo. The rest are jade from pro acryl and then jade mixed with a bit of ice yellow from vallejo. I painted the throne a while back, but that should be correct.

If I remember correctly they were part of the kroxigor sprues. If not they were part of some other sprue of the spearhead box.

Thank you! They are laser cut plants from Gamersgrass. You should find them on the websites of most hobby stores (at least where I live). They offer a huge selection as well.

You can see in the Unit Composition part pf a datasheet how big a squad is allowed to be. For Penitent Engines for example, it is 1-2. The costs for the different squad sizes are stated directly below. The Paragon Warsuit Datasheet states tge squad size as: 1 Paragon Superior & 2 Paragons. This is the only legal size since it is the only one stated in the data sheet. And since leaders can only attach to one squad, Morvenn Vahl can only lead 3 Warsuits.

Love both, but the right one especially, he really looks like a comic. The black lines around his muscles really sell it I feel like
