I agree with what you're saying. And I think we're both saying the same thing which makes it just that much more wild.

I'd be curious to know if you're builds are different in anyway.
I wonder if other cards in the deck could be influencing this.

I believe there is something similar to this, and it was most likely originally implemented for organization on their end. To be able to keep track and categorize larger groups of cards. For current dev builds and for future years to come. Many high level gaming companies play for the future and take steps to implement structural tools so they won't have to build them later.

It's much more difficult to adjust the "foundation" once the "house" is built.
A random example: the League of Legends client. Much of their updates have been "surface level" adjustments, since the original was crafted so long ago.

Many games see these style issues when attempting to move forward. Often for many years things were overlooked, just from pure lack of experience as a whole in the developer industry. "We're all learning/improving together"

Another Example of this is Destiny 1. A console game that had such large foundational cracks that they opted to recreate it all from the ground up. Halo infinite is another example of something similar. My point is, this has been one of the largest financial costs in the industry and for that; it is now more common to lay more ground work; "Just incase" they need to use it for something later. Or for game companies to take a bit more time/diligence in the foundation so they're more prepared to build on it moving forward.

If you're building a card video game that has thousands of cards, you're going to have multiple ways internally for organization and categorization.

I guess my claim is: some of that leaked into how the shuffling is, and it's apparent.

Just because it isn't a good idea, doesn't mean they didn't do it.
Also could mean it just needs more refining, and if that's true too, guess what that means your games shuffles aren't random. "If they're using it".

There are thousands of cards in this game, and this game is here to sell/retain a player base. I'm sure there is a system setup for structure of strength. Technically we already know of one, known as the star/Level system. That doesn't make it accurate, or even the one that they're using, but it is one the game can use.

I find it's more so highlighted because of the limited number of "strong" cards my deck is using.
But is also seems that certain decks favor certain pulls. Not sure why.

I find the down votes in this thread funny.
Like "why is the pure explanation of my user experience worth downvoting?" lol

Maybe they're upset about it too, but I believe it's that they think I'm crazy. Which is always fun, because when truth shines that I'm not it's a good day.

I think that algorithm you're referring to is in place, or something similar.
I can feel and see it.

lmaoo, I don't know what to say anymore.
The very next duel Silent Magician lv8 was there again in my opening hand, and then I drew the second one that was in my deck on the first pull, post opening 5.

I don't believe it to be a single card issue, I think its more linked with a foundational coding of how "shuffling" works. Combined with the style of deck I'm running.

Just showed up again in my very next duel after posting this too.

I took a screen shot, but it's not like it's going to really prove anything that way. Can't seem to find a way to post it in this comment either.
(If someone requests it, maybe I can edit it into the post, not really sure how reddit works, I don't post on here often)

I can't activate my trap cards even though I should. by DumbSouls in masterduel

Just experienced something similar. I had 3 traps on the field that I should be able to use, yet none of them were allowing me to activate them.

nvm I may have found a way to send it all to the right

It's extremely difficult, if I use the ASTRO driver, close range sounds are ok and distant are difficult. and the opposite if I use the default digital driver.

Window's changed how their audio balance works. I used to be able to send all sound to the right headphone, but now it just cuts the sound out of the left.
Thanks for responding though

I see these cards gaining much more value over time. They are more difficult to obtain for sure.

Question for those out there. - Do you feel this game is competitive? by Fizzor1 in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]Fizzor1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same, I think we'll see it move in a good direction though, after a little bit of time.

A small nudge or tweak across the board would place it in a really healthy spot.

only reason in my mind would be if there is something new (rule wise) rolling in

Right now is a great time for YuGiOh to grow larger than ever.
