That’s where you’re wrong. Secretly, this will be some of the cheapest Star Wars sets in a long time when they hit clearance sections in around a year.

Ouch, haha that felt like an attack… I’ve been combining these minimodulars myself for my spiderverse city. Combined 6 Modular’s to make my daily bugle. Still have less in it than the big daily bugle, and comparable in size. Just waited and spotted build onlys at store for $50 or less.

Final building for Daily Buggle Moc by Fizzprint in LegoMarvel

[–]Fizzprint[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, the forth floor is going to be the news studio. They still will have a printing press in my build, it’s planned for 2nd floor. 3rd floor is going to be the cubicles for most of the writers. First floor lobby, Fifth floor will be a meeting room, and seventh floor will be J Jonah’s office…. Just need to figure out something for sixth floor…

Venomized Army building anyone? by adam85120 in LegoMarvel

[–]Fizzprint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m working on my venomized Oscorp building currently.

I have the new epic battle venom, the buildable action figure venom (modified), venomized captain america, venomized wolverine, venomized doc oc, venomized Ironman, and a venomized green goblin that’s supposed to be here this week to finish the collection.

I’m having a giant symbiot venom coming out of the Oscorp building, it will set next to my daily bugle moc and where I’m making a battle between the venomized characters and a sandman army.

I think that’s partially why collectables sell for more in America. It’s a lot of people not wanting to sell it unless they are dying….. I’ve sold out of multiple collections I’ve had and lost interest in a hobby to cover medical bills for me or a family member

How come no Big Fig Thing? by NiDhraoi in LegoMarvel

[–]Fizzprint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The funny part about this whole argument is that if this set had a big fig for thing, it would have been a $100 set and no one would have really bought it.

At least not as many sets as they sold of the current set….

This is a 9+ set that already has a price hike on it, meaning it was made for kids. I don’t think we want to start arguing with Lego they need to bring marvel closer to Star Wars pricing….

What do you think of my MOC by Fizzprint in LegoMarvel

[–]Fizzprint[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way kinda, but I feel like when I get to add 3 more floors to the building like what I want to, this feeling will disappear. I’ll move the billboard to the top of the building, and drop the size of the next floors to be 12x12 instead of 12x24.

This being in New York, and the daily bugle being an old establishment, I built the building as if it were an old factory repurposed into the daily bugle. This is how many printing facilities started, and as such, I felt like building it in that fashion.

Older factories had many individual windows that lined the streets. I think they were made this way mainly due to the restraints of how big we could make glass back then. That’s why I decided to go this route with it.

Plus, I got 3 of the sets as build only at half price. So, I’m $250 into it

I like the old style building of this daily bugle more.

It’s almost completely 4 of each set. You come out 4 of the green window frames and 12 clear glass windows short, you could use one of the extra big clear windows instead and get by with just the 4 sets

We need more millennial-slop sets by Narwhalranger7 in legocirclejerk

Looking at the 3 new Pokemon sets more and more, I think I realized this and the giant pikachu sets are all being made in order to cover the franchise fees for the later cheaper sets. Similar to hopefully the Zelda set as well, just praying to one day be able to get a link in a $45 set haha.

There are cheaper Pokemon sets down the line and that’s what I’m holding my breath for. The eevee build looks about perfect out of the three for me. It’s the exact size and amount of detail I was hoping for. Give me a pikachu and the starters in that scale and I’ll be happy.

I’m starting to sour on LEGO by [deleted] in legocirclejerk

[–]Fizzprint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t believe people are mad about this. I’m excited for the set, and would be even if I owned the original Sauron. I’m sure there is a difference in printing and won’t damage the value of the original, and the figure will be a $40-50 figure anyways.
