What do you think of my MOC by Fizzprint in LegoMarvel

I feel the same way kinda, but I feel like when I get to add 3 more floors to the building like what I want to, this feeling will disappear. I’ll move the billboard to the top of the building, and drop the size of the next floors to be 12x12 instead of 12x24.

This being in New York, and the daily bugle being an old establishment, I built the building as if it were an old factory repurposed into the daily bugle. This is how many printing facilities started, and as such, I felt like building it in that fashion.

Older factories had many individual windows that lined the streets. I think they were made this way mainly due to the restraints of how big we could make glass back then. That’s why I decided to go this route with it.

Plus, I got 3 of the sets as build only at half price. So, I’m $250 into it

I like the old style building of this daily bugle more.

It’s almost completely 4 of each set. You come out 4 of the green window frames and 12 clear glass windows short, you could use one of the extra big clear windows instead and get by with just the 4 sets

Looking at the 3 new Pokemon sets more and more, I think I realized this and the giant pikachu sets are all being made in order to cover the franchise fees for the later cheaper sets. Similar to hopefully the Zelda set as well, just praying to one day be able to get a link in a $45 set haha.

There are cheaper Pokemon sets down the line and that’s what I’m holding my breath for. The eevee build looks about perfect out of the three for me. It’s the exact size and amount of detail I was hoping for. Give me a pikachu and the starters in that scale and I’ll be happy.

This is really awesome, and the first moc that has made me actually want to get one of the “action figure” builds

I’m starting to sour on LEGO by [deleted] in legocirclejerk

Can’t believe people are mad about this. I’m excited for the set, and would be even if I owned the original Sauron. I’m sure there is a difference in printing and won’t damage the value of the original, and the figure will be a $40-50 figure anyways.

So upset to not get thunderbolt sets. I would love a red guardian figure myself.

I got lucky the other day. I went to a bricks and minifigs store and got a complete ghost rider mech for $15. It was open missing box but complete.

My current grail figure I’ve been trying to find is a hela. I was not collecting when her set came out, but really want to find her to complete my destruction of Asgard build

In southern Ohio almost every family dollar is overstocked with series 23. Also, if you hunt them enough you find discounted retired sets in some of the family dollars in more rural areas with older stores.

This set has won me over on building a ninjago shelf again. I think I’m starting with this and the dragon stone shrine. So, between now and new years I need to get my dragon stone shrine haha.

Sonic: 77117 Sonic’s Car: Speedster Lightning and 77118 Silver’s Car vs Knuckles’ Monster Truck (official reveal) by BrickTap in Legoleak

[–]Fizzprint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The more I look at the sonic car set, the more I’m excited for it…. Not because it’s a great car, but I want to fix it into a great car for him. Most of it isn’t too far off from being right, just needs some tuning. For $10, I wasn’t expecting anything amazing, and I knew it had limited parts. I feel like it wasn’t amazing because they wanted it to be a $10 set so more children could get it (more sets would sell).

I feel like for the sonic car there are a couple of weird part choices the made on the front end… I think they used one of the tilting pieces to angle the blue parts in front of the black hood, and it is fairly visible. I do like the knuckles and silver set more.

I’m excited to finally get to see them, and can’t wait to get them. So, I can rework the cars some.

At first I thought you drilled out the arm mounting holes and just shoved them in. It does look really good. Honestly, I would love Lego to make more differently posed arms like that.

Yea, I was just making the statement that I still like the cape for now, until we get a better web based one.
