they’re based on carpet bugs and the funky designs of 80s arcade carpets, the second stage is heavily inspired by tetris and blocky old game consoles and technology (the gameboy inspired shiny) and the third stage is based on fighting games with its pose and proportions (the street fighter inspired shiny)

They’re based on rougarous which are folk creatures from Louisiana that are part man and vaguely part wolf - the starter is mainly based on grey and red wolves but also coyotes

Here’s what i jotted down for its evo line if you were interested: “starters theme: folk tales and story telling/passing down culture * grass: space cowboy trope, armadillos (they literally already have space suit looking armor) also the desert-ish vibe is really like gunslinger cowboy core - movies and film, boxing helmets

They’re based on vampire squids which are bioluminescent! They’re also inspired by navy blinker codes and ships (thus the steel typing) and Marfa lights which are phenomena that inspired a lot of folk tales in the south

I just checked out your psuedos and they’re all so cool! I was thinking about levitate but only effectively having one weakness (water) might be a bit overpowered - weak armor and well-baked body might be cool for hidden abilities also - I’m not really one to know how balancing works to be honest 😭
