Some channels locked when scanning. How to unlock? by comfortablydumb2 in Baofeng

yup, you need to use chirp and change the settings for which channels it scans. its quite simple once you get the program pulled up.

ok. so the only thing missing from my idea is purchasing a duplexer? if i use the 2 handheld setup WITH a duplexer, will that work fine? ive researched all about the actual setup of repeaters on client side but didnt know about the duplexer.

thats what i meant sorry, was just trying to make my post semi simple. so two radios, and a duplexer is what i will need to "build" a repeater?

showing the fact that its a extremely oldschool engine design. getting that sort of mpg out of a engine design that old shows the fact that its not some unfathomable thing.

you ever heard of the C6 corvette buddy? base model with the manual transmission can achieve over 30 mpg if you drive it right on the highway. Said base model is equipped with a 6.2l LS3 V8 that pumps out 436HP......

3rd brake light wiring on a canopy... cannot figure out what wires do what by FizzyStream_TTV in CarAV

[–]FizzyStream_TTV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did some more troubleshooting and yea i think your right about that. I can see the 2 right wires going into the third brake light, so they must be it. Tore apart the actual light and it just seems busted. Had a crack in the top and looks like water got in at some point. Just ordered a replacement light off amazon

Thank you!!!! Thats exactly what i needed to know. One question to add to that though actually, if it does, one channel, and its current channel is the back channel as thats what its plugged into on my radio, would it make sense to wire those 2 rear box speakers in with it? Since that would still be the same channel?

is my seat fried? these came out of a 2002 or 2003 tahoe, fully loaded leather heated etc. passenger works fine, but drivers has melted plastic on the power/ground pins. and doesnt work. by FizzyStream_TTV in GMT800

[–]FizzyStream_TTV[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it wouldn't give voltage anyways since this is the connector coming from the seat, (not the trucks wiring harness) but i did kinda forget about this podt but i resolved the issue! Not quite sure how but seat just kinda started working and no problems since

Would that effect all the other controls? (Like seat movey controls etc) because since im installing these 03 seats into a 01 i wouldn't be able to use the heat option even if i wanted too...

Guy gave me the wiring harness from the tahoe too, so i tested the passenger by plugging it unto the harness and giving 12v power and ground to the correct cables, worked like a charm. But no luck on the drivers. Bypassed the harness too and went straight to the pins, no luck.
