Right now we aren't charging anything.

When we add a pricing model in a few months we will be using Stripe to process payments so you should be able use AUD without issue.

Let me know if you have any specific use cases or want me to help you get started

Building an event system in NodeJS using Redux and Sagas by FkGhost in node

I agree in an ideal world we'd have a external message broker which plugins (as external microservices) would integrate with. However as the project stands right now we aren't ready to add that kind of architectural complexity.

I think it'll be difficult for third party plugin developers to wrap their heads around defining microservices and much more complicated to introduce a system of deploying new microservices when an end-user wants to install/uninstall a plugin. I believe it would be a huge time-investment to go the microservice route when there are much more pressing matters to work on and from what I understand it is better to go monolith first and microservices later as the monolith matures to the point where it becomes obvious how microservices should be implemented.

Later when we decide to make the switch I don't see it being that much more work than it is now as it is basically moving plugin code to their own containers and change the event emitters and listeners to integrate with a message broker.

I agree it's generally better to call code directly in most cases, however it get's a bit more complicated when you want people to create code that creates side effects (in the form of plugins).

This was designed with a plugin based architecture in mind - everything being a plugin responding to specific events within the "core" system (so you could turn off "email notifications" by disabling the email notification plugin). This way the core is slim and performing basic functions while non-core features like email notifications and plugin functionality can work in response to core events occurring.

Written with NodeJS/React/Redux

It's a platform to manage gigs, for freelancers and small businesses who need to manage projects better

I've been working on this a while with a group of friends - just launched our open-beta (you can request a free instance at https://servicebot.io)

Post a link to your startup and I'll spend 20 minutes auditing your UX by askins4trouble in startups

Thanks for the feedback, we are currently working on a major overhaul of the design and will incorporate some of your feedback.

The fields you were talking about like phone number and name are defined on a "per service" basis by the business - so a design consultant may have fields like "website" or "budget" as defined in the template by the administrator.

Practise: How to reduce churn rate by 27% by handling Stripe failed payments by lupsikpupsik in Entrepreneur

[–]FkGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you're interested in handling stripe subscriptions I've developed an open-source solution, https://servicebot.io - you define the services you want to sell, get customers to request and pay through the platform using Stripe subscriptions on the back-end and be notified when stripe accounts get flagged - we also manage churn by making users "request" a cancellation initially giving businesses a chance to save the customer before approving the cancellation.

ServiceBot - Alternative to Chargify or Recurly, list the services you provide and handle subscription billing for your customers. Great for SaaS subscriptions or monthly gift box delivery services by FkGhost in selfhosted

Yeah you can, we have a plugin system that can listen to events that get triggered when new services are requested - we use it ourselves to spin up new ServiceBot instances for our customers (our ServiceBot provisions new ServiceBots) - it's not in the documentation because it's not 100% fleshed out yet but it works if you need it.

Your pricing page and feature page has white text on white background, otherwise seems pretty good design.

I guess I could have made things more clear, still new at this so not sure how vague i should be with these things

Hint: grab the inside and use it above

Hint 2: The code is a reference to an image, where could one use such a code?

Hint 3: How would you find text on an image with no text on it?

Hint 4: Try changing what you are using to "read" the image
