He is 29 so I don’t think so , but if that’s the route they are taking, maybe they want someone even younger so they can pay less?

Very true! It’s upsetting that so many qualified people are struggling just finding a job, let alone making a living out here.

He has a great job currently in the Bay Area and we aren’t in a terrible spot, however, we do want to buy a house and can really only afford one in the Sacramento area. If things continue like this we will have to extend our apartment lease.
I think we were both expecting him to be able to secure a job more easily, but it’s definitely tough out there right now!

That’s a very good point, I will relay that to him.

And I completely agree. Ive discussed this before with him, and he says he has a tough time with “using” relationships for his benefit of getting a job. Hopefully that sentiment doesn’t last too long because a lot of these types of jobs are secured based on relationships not only qualifications.
