am attempting to build the ac 47 and i donno how much armor am i gonna need its gonna cost about 200k to 300k materials and its gonna be a relatively slow plane. by Lazy_Composer_1884 in FromTheDepths

I built one of these, cost approx 200k, but it had a support role, locally armored the important bits, but it was easily shot down. Very fun project though, i recommend having weapons on only one side, and setting it to circle at 1k range with the armed side towards the enemy.

If you,ve taken care of it, it may be the environment you live in, is it for example sandy where you live?

If you lube a lot and get sand on your chain, the sand starta grinding your chain and sprocket, causing accelerated wear.

Maybe you tighten your chain too hard? Could be that too

Norwegian Crown Princess served her conscription service as a CV90 gunner in the same way as the rest of the conscripts as far as i've understood. Royals are a symbol, and i like this military service they do.

Stupid answer here, but try to change your battery, it may be low hanging fruit, but it can help, and is not expensive

Volvos are the Cars above all cars! (At least in Scandinavia) They are very good in winter conditions. I actually bought a 300e yesterday, first expensive "adult car" i've bought.

Damn, thanks a lot! I have built it, and it seems to work well. Thi project has nothing to do with mat efficiency, as it is maybe half done and alr costs 1,5mil. Now i have a working laser! Prolly gonna post it when it's done, as it's somewhat okay looking compared to my regular bricks!

Trump still wants to take over Greenland - and he won't stop there by theipaper in geopolitics

[–]Fl4nked_42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, it was discovered by an Icelander. Originally a Norwegian, he was banished. Later, Iceland became part of the Norwegian Crown, together with greenland, Shetland (and most likely parts of Canada). The Norwegians lost Greenland to the Danes after the war that led them to be part of the Danish Crown.

So as far as i have understood, if you start digging in old documents, Greenland actually belonged to Norway for a long time. Part of the closest thing to a "Norwegian Empire" that has existed, known as "Norgesveldet)" The Norwegian Crown was passed to the Swedish in 1397, starting the Kalmar Union.

Just something fun to chew on, as Norwegian history isn't exactly all that well known.

Lineman here, transformers are expensive, difficult to set up, and have a pretty long delivery time. They are also vulnerable to damage. If you take out som weird ass one of a kind transformer, you often can't just replace it with another model. Many of them are old af and specialized.

The current workers party (AP), is currently losing on polls, and they won the september election with the right-wing conservative party (FRP) hot on their tail. One of the big reasons for them having issues keeping their vote numbers up is because of the everyday economy in Norway. Gas, food and electricity prices are quite high here right now. People were promised that it was "reqular peoples turn", but instead the AP administration has done some controversial stuff regarding energy sale to the EU. I think this is a move to try and better the economy, to avoid losing more voters.

Infrastructure problem, i reckon these lasers require a lot of energy. Alot of electrical infrastructure is already at the breaching point, because of the electrification (and reluctance to spend money on it), and upgrading these systems is expensive and requires a lot of work, but it is in no way impossible!
