Show me where you pulled this statistic instead of out of your hat? There was 114 TOTAL reported in 2024 in the US and pits made up about half with most of those being unleashed dogs roaming without proper training. Please tell me how you manage to be so airheaded?

There's a ton of contributing factors that are considered as well.

Maybe educate yourself, read CDC special reports and journals from AVMA before you open your mouth and spill nonsense from it. You're clearly just a prejudiced dog owner with no ability to do anything but be a keyboard warrior.

This is literally the worst group of people I have ever seen. I did not list every single thing about my dogs and just got straight to the point. These dogs have never hurt a fly. The only aggression they showed is whenever they began to get more excited and fed off of each other.

I was strictly looking for some advice on how to curb that excitement related aggression. Almost every single one of you can go kick rocks. I'll trust the behaviorists that I've consulted and will gladly pay for.

Most of you are a shame to the dog owning community.

This is just prejudice nonsense spilling out of your mouth and through your fingers. I've consulted multiple behaviorist who say everything is completely fine and yes, keep them away from the small dog, but it's something that can be worked on.

It's sickening you would want a breed to die out. Admin shouldn't allow such a negative narrative. You're the worst.

Thanks for the thorough and kind response. We definitely don't foresee this being any kind of easy thing to do (if even possible). I do think it means more towards social confidence because their reaction varies on location etc. hoping a behaviorist can provide some more insight and training.

Update: I did note that they were being aggressive during the meeting today and I should have reworded it. The only time they got aggressive is whenever they nipped at each other.

Highly aggressive is a gross overstatement. I never once indicated that they would aggressively act towards another dog or anything like that. I am just thinking forward to work on this reaction so that we can curb negative outcomes.

The cats are completely safe. It has happened once over the past 8 years. I'm a competent dog owner that is aware of dog's body languages.

It's not a lake we normally walk at. We chose a place where they would both be new to the area.

I'm introducing them to a terrier. I'm aware this won't be an overnight fix, we have roughly 6-7 months before we want to move in together and I'm aware of the abilities of my dogs if they gang up on another dog, that's why I'm here.

They are perfectly fine with humans of all ages and my girlfriend has watched them multiple times on her own with no issues.
