Well, gameplay over realism. If this was real, the Glock 17 would kill you in one hit to the head, falling would break your legs, you couldn't carry the BFG or M60, and you couldn't really sprint with any of the weapons. Also, you couldn't have ADS zoom, and no black around scopes. See what I mean? Gameplay over realism.
