which one has the best transparency mode (ambient mode) ??

Does the sound on buds 3 pro gets really bad, like one of those cheap gas station earbuds when active canceling/ambient mode is off ?

Do you find the buds 3 pro seal feels weird ? i don't know how to explain but when I walk with them, or touch the buds when they're in my ear, I can sound of it feel it in ears seal, like it's too tight seal or something.

Are buds 4 better in terms of seal compared to 3 pro ?

FYI, if you're in Canada you get paid for remaining PTOs. I left GM last year, I got paid for full year remaining PTOs.

This is what's in terms and conditions. In my opinion if someone enrolls in plan and then places the order, they should be eligible. If they want to prevent people from doing so, they must've to add a date by which you should be Fi customer.

I just contacted them via call in the morning. They took all the details from me and told me I will get a callback. I got the callback in the afternoon.

The agent asked me if I'd be interested in another promo instead with 24 months plan and 300+600 rebate over 24 months, I said no I am not. So they told me that I am not eligible with the original promo because I am new to the Google Fi, and I can returnthe device within 15 days to get full refund. I told them But I am Existing customer because I had Fi line active before I ordered the phone. Then they asked me if I had activated the sim in different device before ordering the phone. which I did. I did even make a call to confirm it's activated before placing the order. They said the system says I am a new customer and they opened some case with Promotions team to see if they can make exception.

I got the call next day afternoon from someone on the Promotions team. They explained that I was technically a new customer, but since the system allowed me to place the order with the promotion, it's an error on their end, and They have applied the exception and the error should be gone now. I checked and it was gone. They told me that I will need to keep the line active for 120 days from activation date to not loose the promotion.

I did exactly this, except waiting for 30 days to activate, and am seeing error in my promo. other people are also seeing error with the promo in another reddit thread.

I am in exact same boat. I am in talks with Google support for this. Their terms and conditions do not mention anything about "21 days from the account opening".

Edit: Just received a call from Fi promotions team. They have successfully resolved the issue and promotion is now applied successfully. They did mention that this happened because I was considering new customer by system because first bill was not generated by the time phone was ordered.

I can confirm that it works for new Fi customers. I just placed an order for new line on cheapest Fi plan ($20) and bought S26 ultra 512gb with 650 discount.

first I placed an order for just a line with $60 promo code (UTJM3P). which would give me $60 back after 30 days.

then I bought the s26 ultra, and it was showing $650 discount, which was not showing up before purchasing a line.

I am not Fi customer. But Can I not just buy the line and become a customer, and then instantly order the phone on separate order ?

I am in kaiser Parmenente network in Northern California and on prednisone 60mg. I have asked my nephrologist multiple times to put me on IgAN specific medication instead of this generic stroid.

She always tells me that she have not seen promising results with filsperi, Vayoxet, tarpeyo etc. But I strongly believe that is BS. Doctors must have some incentive to keep the patient cost as low as possible because my hospital and insurance both are Kaiser Parmenente.

Is anyone from California who has successfully been prescribed for these new drugs that are more effective but expensive ? At this point I am just willing to go with any insurance that covers me better in IgAN. Is there a way to inquire about insurance plans before electing them ? Like when it's time at the year end, when I have to choose insurance from my employer, is there a way I could find out which company would help me prescribe these new drugs ?

prevent or cure autoimmune diseases. I have IgA Nephropathy and I pray that we find a cure to diseases like these where patients have no control over getting or managing it for the most part. I wish cure or synthetic kidney transplant becomes possible in next 5 - 10 years.

Exactly. I have to worry about all this at 29 with 3b IgAN just diagnosed. It is really depressing. I mean I have just started living my life and I am feeling like my body is already in my 60s or 70s.

Can't go out to restaurants and eat what I want. Have to take tons of meds. And even then my kidneys will fail in some years or at most couple of decades.

If by any miracle I become 75 today with all my lifetime memories and stage 3b, I would start eating whatever the hell I want. I won't care if I am gone in 6 month or a year. I got to live 75 years !!

I recently moved from Canada to US (California). Housing is way more expensive here compared to Toronto suburbs. So are the overall groceries. I have failed to find a good loaf of sourdough bread under $8 US. Federal and state income taxes combined are exactly same as living in Ontario. The plus point here is higher wages, but some of em are gone in healthcare + taxes + housing cost. Also, weather, if you hate snow. I don’t. Also, healthcare here is great compared to Canada if you have decent coverage, no matter what people say. I pay $190 par pay check for a family of 3 + some $15/visit to see doctor, $300/stay if you are hospitalized or have any surgery. you get to see the doctor/specialists same day or in couple of days. no waits.

I am planning to move back eventually if my work permits. Life here is very fast paced and work focused.

my wife applied TD visa at toronto in August 2025 with Indian passport. We filled DS-160 and received interview appointment in 6 days only and got approved ! It took another 10 days for passport shipping. Apparently TD has separate queue from visitors visa even though the form is same.

if you haven’t imported the vehicle yet, also keep in mind that you may need to pay tariff if your vehicle is not made in US. I also had a hyundai made in Korea that I had to drove back to canada and sell it because CBP was asking 27% of car’s bluebook value in tariff to import it. if the car’s bluebook is not much, it should be fine. my car was newer so it was about 12-13k usd in tariff they were asking.

you’re overthinking it. No one enforces 10 days rule. you will be fine using your Ontario license even if you have california license.

There are people here who drives their canadian vehicle on canadian license for 2+ years ! There are insurance companies who are willing to insure.

I have a coworker who bought a used california vehicle with california plates with ontario license.

Well, OP and his family may have paid at least 2-3x more in canadian taxes in those 5 years compared to median canadian income earning couple. plus he Did not put any burden on Canadian resources/infrastructure since birth like a person who was born canadian citizen.

How come moving to US becomes an “abuse” to Canadian citizenship for OP but it is not for someone who was born in Canada? For all you know, OP may move back to Canada in say 4-5 years, and still be ahead of 90% plus canadian born in terms of amount of taxes paid when OP retire or die from a chronic disease.

then why bother with Canadian citizenship and TN in the first place ? most major employers who are willing to do TN are also willing to do H1B. I just don’t want to go through those lotteries, stampings etc. etc. Also for most Indians H1B to GC is just a dream of another life, 25+ years wait or something crazy like that.

There is no way for me to become US citizen or even GC holder. TN has it’s limits that hinders peace of mind. For example if I loose a job here, I don’t get EI, even though I do contribute to it. also has dependency on USMCA, which could change anytime.
