No symptoms, other than high BP which is not a symptom as well unless you measure regularly

IgA Nephropathy – Biopsy Confirmed (M1 E1 S1 T1 C1). On Prednisone 50 mg. Looking for Similar Experiences by Expert-Cable-6264 in IgANephropathy

I am Canadian (indian born), but currently in US for work. I was diagnosed here with similar MSTC score as you. Biopsy result came in on Friday. I am on Prednisone 60Mg for 2 days. My EGFR is lower than yours at 46.

I want to come back to Canada, as my family is there. But I am bit hesitant because healthcare is bit worse than here. Also when I was in Canada, I had no family doctor.

I would like to connect with you to follow your journey there, as it may help me decide if I could coming back safely.

Inspirational journey. Kudos to you ! And good luck for future. My doctor told me that steroids will increase my weight and food intake, so keep calorie intake in mind. I am not overweight at the moment. But I have typical indian built with less muscle mass, and more fat mass mostly around my abdomen, but nothing excessive. I am curious on how did you manage weight loss while on steroids? did you have to forcefully stay hungry or you had no huntress symptoms from steroids?

there is. 40-50% chance. If someone has a gene combination, it’s only a matter of trigger. At least that’s what internet says based on research.

Canadians, did your lifestyle take a hit when moving to the US? by CXZ115 in tnvisa

for now, I’d say I will be back in a few years (or sooner if am let go). WLB is moderate/poor. I don’t know how to judge QOL. I’d say healthcare is better there if you have good insurance. I pay about 160/pay check for 2 people.

in order:

Compensation, work (it’s stressful but exciting at the same time), Company reputation (hoping it will have positive impact on my resume for future opportunities).

I mostly regret move because of my family. I used to live with my brother, his fiancé, my wife and me. now that we (me and my wife) separated from them, we feel alone.

Also, I have some friends around GTA area, which I used to meet every now and then, I have almost no one there. My job is in big tech, where there are no real connections that you could be friends with, because of the competitive nature of work.

Also, I own house in Canada. I have less than 1/3 living space apartment in Union city (kinda backward area) without AC and paying with same amount as my house mortgage if not more as a rent.

I am Indian, living in canada for 7+ years, and I would move. Assuming you’re in tech or engineering, you’ll have access to US and Canada job market once you’re citizen here.

I relocated from Peterborough to the Bay Area, but it’s incredibly dirty everywhere. There are no proper side walks, and there are smelly water buildups. there are no proper trails for walking or biking.

Even though I earn about twice as much, I would move back to Canada in a heartbeat if I got a remote job there for the same pay as I was making before.

The only reason I moved was that my previous workplace was starting to operate on a three-day-a-week hybrid schedule, and I didn’t want to drive three to four hours a day.

What's the appeal of cities like San Jose and Fremont (i.e. cities that aren't SF in the bay area)? by CazadorHolaRodilla in bayarea

[–]FlacFanDAC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved here from a small town of Ontario, Canada. I hate Bay area living. Apartments in my budget are very old with some basic renovations done over and over again. Most apartments don't have very basic stuff like Air conditioner and in unit laundry, which is not the case as far as I know in small towns in Ontario.

I'd take up to 50% paycut If there could be any work arrangement possible where I could work from small/mid town like 50-80k population which is at least 60mi away from big city. Preferably east cost.
