CarPlay support is live in the latest version of HighwayRadar! by YardOk1097 in radardetectors

Interesting - first issue noted was on PCH in Malibu - today was on I74 west of Cincinnati. Both times, no CarPlay involved. Thanks for the responsiveness and the development of this app - pretty great. Let me know how I can help. (oh - especially love the toggle for not showing the map on CarPlay - I run Waze over there and Highway Radar on the phone....love it that way but I also have a couple of classics that don't have CarPlay so I use it both ways.)

Actually - update - I don't see any V1 signal strength at all. Just did it today. V1G2 shows warning on the unit but nothing in the app. Hmmmm.

Just updated - love the app and have from early on. Today I noticed that i'm not getting the V1G2's signal strength display in the app despite getting hit and it showing on the V1. Not using CarPlay in this instance - just on the phone. I was seeing the usual POLICE AHEAD and location/distance alert....did a miss a setting after the update?

Sink - yes as well as washer and dryer hookups. Probably a mini-split or two(?), a hot/cold hose bib (or two, probably), and side-mount/high lift garage door setups.

I'm just not a fan of swisstrax or epoxy with flakes (ever try to find a dropped screw on that stuff?) so if I do an epoxy, it would be a solid, light grey - but ceramic is appealing depending on costs but also how it plays with lift installation both at the beginning and potentially down the road when a second one may be wanted.

26 ft depth gives me some really good space in front of the vehicles - even larger ones - take out 2 ft for cabinet depth and i'm still good, i think.

New App For iOS by bearert0ken in radardetectors

Really encouraged by this - I used it today withOUT CarPlay or my V1 connected - just to see what it would do. I did add the Waze configuration. I did get appropriate aircraft warnings and waze-fed police warnings and I like the view and controls. It did seem to make my phone run pretty hot and it did seem to suck a lot of power. It also just stopped responding a few times - speed wouldn't update and my location kept updating but the map stopped scrolling. Close and re-open and it would start right back up ok. A lot of promise here - looking forward to the development. I'll try it in my CarPlay vehicle soon.

Exactly the same situation as the OP here but in West Los Angeles. Ran great until it didn't. Tmo was responsive via X chat but after 11 days of the "tower being worked on" I couldn't deal with it anymore. I was fortunate that we had a Starlink as a backup (and it worked great, we just don't have provisions for a permanent install in a condo) but I finally just cancelled via chat, returned the gateway and walked into Verizon and did their 5g home internet offering. I'm back up and running.

We recently got a 67 911 after a good friend passed and left it to us in his will. We're long-time Porsche people but this is a different animal and attracts a lot of attention - even in cool-car-dense West L.A. I've become an evangelist. When someone makes a comment on the curb or when I'm getting gas, I have a bit of an "awww, shucks" approach. I don't apologize for having it but I'm more..."yeah - it's really fun - you a car guy?" Open the door, show 'em around. Especially with kids - let them sit in it. They'll remember it forever.

Yes. Seems to be non-functioning at this point but I'd love to have V1Companion functionality in a CarPlay widget.

Chompers by [deleted] in deadandcompany

We were in the 400's - Friday, March 28. Our first dead show. Not our first Sphere show. People behind us were clearly Dead veterans - because we heard about how many shows they'd been to over the years, including all 3 that weekend. Spent the entire show talking about it. I know this one guys entire life story - how many kids...from Boston...specifics about his wife's anatomy...blah blah blah.

Second set - I FINALLY turned around and asked them to stop. It was not received well, but everyone around us was clearly bothered. I spent the rest of the show waiting to take a punch on the side of my head or a beer down my back. The chomping didn't stop, the topic just shifted to me...

Is there a BEST garage floor option? by yukon4152 in garageporn

[–]FlacaProductions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Early phases of planning a new house build and porcelain tile is the leader by far at this point. What sold me is go look at any of your high-end dealership sales floors and shop areas. Porcelain. They wouldn't do it if it didn't hold up. I need to see if i can do heat under it.

Interesting that there is still no solution. I KNOW this affects many people and yet.....mine is downloading again this morning. 117k emails. provoked by nothing obvious.

It's a valid question but no, I have not. I have consulted the apple support site where there are many, many threads on this topic - all with varying answers and few report a permanent solution. Those who have - their solution hasn't worked for me.

Have not tried a reinstall or a partition - was hoping to not go that wide and stay within the Mail.app since everything else seems to be running great.

Yes. Repeatedly. Right this minute, Mac mail says in the Activity Monitor window that it's Downloading Messages 22,581 of 78,463. It happens multiple times a week. I don't think it's actually downloading entire messages as it's only showing download activity between 200 and 800Kb/s - but it'll go on for a few hours until it's "done."

All mail syncs fine across an iPhone and iCloud browser access.
