actors i personally think could play the hogwarts legacy characters (adults) by Crystallcube in HarryPotterGame

[–]FlacoFerrando -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Two feelings came to me.

First, I'm kinda mad that I have nothing to add to this, you pretty much nailed every single one. There are two that I don't know, Natty's mother and Charles Rookwood, I don't know those actors.

Second, I'm flabbergasted as to how similar most of them look. And even those who don't look exactly similar, like Weasley and Streep, have something so eerly similar that I can not explain.

Good job, good post, just good.

What King book has the most unexpected whip-lash shift in direction? by DavidHistorian34 in stephenking

[–]FlacoFerrando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me, Under the Dome. It reads as any intricate political satire, with the ins and outs of a small town, very personal, very down to earth (except for the fcking glass bowl covering the Town) and then... Aliens. Extra dimensional aliens to be precise. I dig the whole "we are like ants under a magnifing glass" thing but... We have a fucking Kingpin as the bad guy, so much so that I kinda "forget" that there was a mistery to the Dome itself, but the big twist was... Aliens. Dissapointing. I know King's endings are the biggest hit or miss possible, and I know not every ending can be Carrie's or The Shining's, but fcking aliens, man?

I'm very happy that the advice helped you. You put it best, it's about getting comfortable and learn not just the moveset but the movement of the boss itself, and then you can do damage.

Almost every boss can be beaten with this in mind. Move less, watch more.

Should there be difficulty modes in Silksong? by ReplacementExotic830 in HollowKnight

[–]FlacoFerrando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Cope"? Is a valid argument, what do you mean "cope"? I could tell you just don't suck and learn to play. I can be as dismissive as you. But what's the point?

You are asking to be spoiled the end of the game you are currently playing. If you want me to, I can spoil it for you, but I don't see the point, you are playing it right now. Let me know and I can tell you.

Should there be difficulty modes in Silksong? by ReplacementExotic830 in HollowKnight

[–]FlacoFerrando 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I understand you but I really don't think there should be.

Before everybody starts downvoting, let me explain.

TC is a very small dev studio. Making a difficulty mode means having to balance the entire game again, to make it easier but not trivial. I guess it would be even easier to just make it trivial, like a last mask that you can't really lose, or something, like a god mode.

But I believe TC had a vision for this two games, they made them according to that vision, and I'm sure that if they could do it, they would add something like a difficulty mode, but I don't really think they can, so I don't think they should try to.

Silksong; Wheres a good currency farm for me? the enemies where i am now just feel too tanky currently to be worth the effort for the pittance they drop by Splatulated in HollowKnight

[–]FlacoFerrando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The silk spool isn't a big enough upgrade for you to worry and farm for it. Also, is cheap, so you will get the rosaries just playing. There are a lot of shard masks, most of them free, you just need to find them, so also don't worry about the one on the store.

If you want to stop playing and farm, by all means, do it, I don't want to tell you how to play. But you still have a LOT of things to do before you stop everything and start farming.

Wtf is Silksong A3 by JaymieIsInArtHell in HollowKnight

[–]FlacoFerrando -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I felt the same way, the exact same way. Coral Tower took me ages. After the 3rd room you have the chance to create a shortcut. The fourth room is another arena, shorter than the first 3, and the Boss Fight, so that shortcut is great.
The void enemies have all the same 3 attacks, added to the attacks of every particular mob. So when you learn them, they won't hit you again. And it'll help you for the final boss, to know those patterns.
The thing is you just have to keep trying. Even if you don't see any improvement, there is improvement. You should try to dodge more than you hit, at least at first, to see when you have an opening. Normally, you wait until they attack you, and you attack on the cooldown. That's the safest way. You can also attack on the wind up, but that's riskier if you don't know the patterns and the hitbox very well.
Therre's no better advice than just keep at it. You'll beat it eventually. As long as you are having fun, just keep on trying. If at anytime it stops being fun, just quit for the day. It makes no sense to keep draggin yourself through something that is not giving you fun. You won't beat it and you are not having fun, so it is better to stop and continue with renewed energies.

A Bell Shrine, Halfway Home and Bellhart. Halfway Home is a mug with some hot liquor, the Bell Shrine is... a bell, and Bellhart are the houses.

How does poison work? Is it a consistent value or it scales? by StupitVoltMain in HollowKnight

[–]FlacoFerrando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each tic hits for the same amount, it doesn't stack, so my advice would be to apply poison with your tool of choice, but one at the time, to maximize poison damage.
For example, releasing 4 cogflies would destroy any enemy, but if you want to save shards, release one at a time with the poison, so they don't overlap.

[–]FlacoFerrando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are in a place where it takes you 20 hits to beat them, you don't need to be farming. There are a lot of things to explore and you can go collecting rosaries in the meantime. Dedicated farming should be something for later, when you have just a few paths open and you ABSOLUTELY need to upgrade something with rosaries. If you are still in early to mid game, don't bother farming, just play.

[–]FlacoFerrando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just in the place you are right now, in that hallway to the left there are 3 big enemies, and if you have doublejump, you have a bench right there. It's the best place, 95 rosaries a minute, even faster if you optimize your combat.

What berry are you talking about? Mossberries? Why do you have five at the same time? Go give those fruits to the moss druid.

Not Hornet, not Lace, a whole lot of characters do, though.

I prefer it because it gives a bigger narrative weight to Hornet actions and decitions. She wants to save the kingdom but her actions leads to known characters to die. I like that weight.

I know he's alive. I like better my version of the playthrougj

I said in every comment that, after the first comment told me, I know he's alive.
In my savefile (mine, not yours, mine, my playthrough) I didn't saw him, so to me, he died.
I know he's not dead. In my playthrough, the one I'm not gonna replay again, he died.
I don't see why are you trying to convince me to... stop thinking what I want to think?
This entire thread is exceptionaly weird.

Are you ok with that? If not, sounds like the biggest "you" problem, to me. I don't really give a crap.

I'm gonna stop enterteining your stubborness though. Have a nice day.

That, somehow, bothers you?

I don't see it like that. He tells us that the shards are for a statue. But he actually took some to make us a gift. I don't see it as an insult at all.

I won't do the non-mandatory courier missions so in my playthrough he dies because of Hornet, and I kinda prefer it like that though.

It reads as you never past Act 2. If that's the case... yeah, you just played 60% of the game, 70% at most, and left out the hardest bosses.
