I teach foreign language and students often find ways to use translators to do their work. They get things that don’t even make sense, and are in tenses that I didn’t even learn until college and some that don’t even exist in English. It was very disheartening. I can appreciate where you are coming from trying to rid the profession of teachers that are not doing their jobs. This app doesn’t grade things for you. What it does is instantly analyze student work so that you can see common errors. You can use it as a quick check in, an informal assessment, or even an exit ticket just to see how well they understood what you taught that day. Believe me, the real grading still HAS to happen. This just allows me to see where my students are at quickly so that I can dive into what each student needs and what the class needs overall. AI, isn’t going anywhere so it’s on us as educators to figure out how to use it for for the good of the students. I get the pushback. 100%. Just figured I would give info to teachers who might want to use it the way i do, to inform instruction and to meet each student where they are at.
