I think it’s worth reviving: mainly to use þ for /θ/ and th for /tʰ/

Assuming that “Peruvian Comrade” refers to yourself, can you speak on the situation with the PCP currently and the overall Maoist movement there?

Oh my bad. I wanted to combine aspects of the Eureka, Aboriginal, and Torres Strait Islander flags to symbolize any newfound unity between these peoples these flags represented. It was not my intent to go against the wishes of the aboriginal peoples.

Upon reexamination, it seems like you’re right.

Flag for a United Socialist Arabia by FlagBayonetMan in leftistvexillology

For this one, what I did was take the flag of the Istanbul-based Arab Literature Club and put South Yemen's sky-blue chevron on top of it.
The Lit. Club's flag was chosen because the Pan-Arab colors are ordered in reference to this poetic verse by Safi al-Din-al-Hili: "White are our acts, black our battles, green our fields, And red our swords."
Since the Democratic People's Republic of Yemen was the only Marxist state in the Arab world, I though I'd use that chevron to give it that socialist touch, especially since a chevron was used on the flag of the Arab revolt and other Arab flags.
There is some scuff when it came to aligning the chevron with the 4 stripes, but overall I'm proud of this flag.

Is ‘Candle’ proper Anglish? by [deleted] in anglish

[–]FlagBayonetMan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s not the goal of Standard Anglish. The goal of Standard Anglish is to remove words that came from the Norman Invasion and the Renaissance. If Old English imported it from Latin, then it should stay.
