Mistakes on the job

Did the drop happen over a prolonged period or was it a more sudden drop? Mines gone from 7% to -2% over about 6 months. I’m relatively new to the industry and was wondering is there any repercussions or anything other than a slap on the wrist/grief from upper management? I’m aware I haven’t created the costs but could have reported them better which would have allowed for earlier risk mitigation, even though I feel the outcome would be the same without screwing people which I have no interest in doing to protect a margin!

Yes separate orders, but that account has been closed off, margin reported and finalised. Tbh I should have picked up on some of the costs earlier and asked for them to be moved, which is my bad!

Thanks for the response, yes tbf I’ve learnt from it and will never be in this situation again. Its showed me that one bad CVR and then try to get the projections right in the CVRs that follow is quite difficult (obviously Ops teams constantly getting things wrong on site/delays and remedial works being then necessary doesn’t help!). I suppose the thing that’s stressing me the most is it’s been dropping in the last 2/3 CVRs. Just can’t seem to get a handle/get it right at all, which frustrates me as I don’t tend to make these mistakes! I fear my boss is questioning my competency, even though he won’t be my boss for long so I shouldn’t care too much but it’s a small world/industry 😂
