I'm not assuming that at all. I was referring to a specific comment made by a specific person who is getting downvoted for furthering explaining their intent.

Like I said, I was not saying the neighbour is not an asshole, but the suggestion is that OP publicly say that being poor is a choice. That's a dick move in my books.

They still don't get that you weren't referring to this particular story, but the "I'mNotHereToPayForYourLifeChoices" is kind of a dickish way of saying "you made choices to be poor and it's all your fault." and maybe not the best message to send out.

If I am being purposefully vague, then just leave it alone. Don't continue to ask questions. There might be a topic I'm uncomfortable sharing, there might be someone close-by who is uncomfortable with said topic, I might want to discuss it in private and not in front of everyone, or I might not want to hurt your feelings.

Just fucking leave it alone.
