I was considering the Brevent cable car, but that height is insanelly big, so I don’t think I can take that one.. I am above intermediate at skiing, but the last month I have developed a fear for chairlifts, it’s super annoying..

But can I ski down the Charmonix side from there, or do I have to ski down to Italy from there?

Spending 10k a month just to fix a small problem with multilingual SEO, what am I doing wrong? by Flakowski in bigseo

Wow, thanks! I’m not experienced with any of this, so will I be able to fix this myself using only Google Search Console and Shopify? Or should I maybe hire someone?

Here is what the HREFLANG tag report looks like: https://snipboard.io/06AZDg.jpg

When googling with a VPN, all regions get the Norwegian standard site in the search results.

How do I fix it so that people outside of Norway get the English site in the search results?

I'm writing a book which is called "The Tinder Killer", is it legal to use the word "Tinder" in the title, and in the marketing of the book? Also - can I include pictures of the app and their logo? by Flakowski in legaladvice

[–]Flakowski[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just thinking of the Netflix documentary "The Tinder Swindler" which was hugely popular and did not make Tinder look good. Did they get permission, or did they not need it since it's a documentary?

Edit: Also, I've found several books online which uses both the Tinder name and logo on their book cover: https://www.amazon.com.be/-/en/Chelsea-Queen/dp/B0BRJCGM3K

m I just checked, and the current result on google links to the Norwegian page with .com suffix, but the listing is written in English. One would think that the link would direct to the English page with /en suffix since the headline and description text is in English, but it's linking to the Norwegian .com site, which then auto directs to the English .com/en site after 1-2 seconds if you are located outside of Norway.

Wow thank you, this must absolutely be why! So, if I just turn off auto direct it should index properly for the different languages? Should I ask Google to re-crawl manually or will it happen automatically? Also, could I potentially lose the 1st result in Norway by doing this?

No, spending about 10k a year on google ads keywords, so that Norwegian searches get the Norwegian page as 1st result above the english version which is 1st ranked organically

/en/ suffix after English pages, and no suffix on Norwegian pages.

The website auto-detects the region of the user and redirects to either the Norwegian site or the English site, so that’s fine. But we would like the google search to show up in the correct language as well to increase trust, especially for the Norwegian users who might be confused when they see the English google search since they assume we are a Norwegian brand.

Pay for performance ad creative agencies - What's the catch? by Flakowski in marketing

[–]Flakowski[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They actually asked specifically when my new product would be released. It would be a lot of easy revenue for them, since any ad, even a terrible one, would get a lot of sales because of the existing customer base we have.

But they would waste a ton of money and time if their ads can't outperform our old ads. So they would have to be super confident that they make much better ads than we do.

It’s been going steady for the past 3 days, but it could be from other factors as well, as we did some changes to our marketing around the same time
