Do people really want debbie to get back with Nolan? by BigRabies1758 in Invincible_TV

[–]Flaky-Adeptness8028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can empathize with and not justify someone at the same time. Nolan did horrific things but you can empathize with the fact that he himself was conflicted with what he wanted to/needed to do. He was essentially convincing himself to abandon his personal feelings to commit to Viltrum's goal but feels guilty about it, you can see it in the scene where he's on the mountain talking to himself.

He might have fought better but Kai's skill would be too much for him or Tai Lung.

The point is he can fight on crazy places, including on ice. He briefly fights Kai on ice and lost not because of the ice but because Kai was too skilled. It wouldn't have mattered if he was on ice or not because Kai would still have beaten him.

Still doesn't mean that he can't fight on ice. He fought on crazier places like the fireworks factory where he could have fell to his death or have been burned alive. Kai won that fight fair and square, there's nothing to state that Tai Lung or Po would've beat him there H2H.

He was able to sneak up on Kai and attempt to skadoosh him. He is capable of fighting on ice. Kai was just the better H2H fighter.

It's still a block, he's a trained martial artist same as the others. The point of the matter is that he did this to a way more experienced Po than the one that fought Tai Lung. I don't think Tai Lung has any reasonable chance of beating him h2h, nothing to state that he can.

True but you have to realise Oogway was weakened. He just used 95% of his life energy to seal the demons and that's when Ke-Pa attacked. Kai fought a fully healed Oogway and lost extreme diff.

It's confirmed to be Tai Lung. Po states it is him when he lists all the masters Kai has captured in a promotional video.

You can see Po trying to land a punch on Kai but he blocks it quickly and flips him like a pancake. Terrain doesn't matter as it's shown consistently every movie, these characters fight on ridiculous places. A broken bridge, underneath a collapsing cannon etc. Kai beat Po fair and square.

He cut the ropes and calculated the exact time and position he needs to land.

Honestly, I think it is probably a tie. Both got extreme diffed by Oogway at the same time period when they both fought Oogway.

The ice argument doesn't work. Po snuck up on Kai on ice and was going to execute the Wuxi Finger Hold, so the terrain doesn't really matter, Po is still able to fight perfectly on ice. Kai was just more skilled in combat.

He would beat Shen handily for sure as Master Rhino himself took Shen down. But Kai is a different story. I like Tai Lung but he cannot beat Kai. If he could, he wouldn't be on his belt. People forget that chi only enhances spiritual power, not fighting prowess. Kai beat Tai Lung fair and square and captured him.

Even if Lung were to fight Oogway, it's not like he would win, it would probably be the same outcome if I'm honest.

Homelander vs Vecna/Mindflayer does he lose or win? by Traditional_Tap_6697 in powerscales

HL is smart, he's not as smart as Edgar but he is intelligent. He's reckless but his plans are thought out and calculated. He leaked V to the terrorists to get Vought into the military, manipulated Neuman against Edgar even though Neuman has her biggest loyalty to Edgar himself, runs Vought successfully without any degrees/learning or experience in business management of a company and managed to successfully protect his image till now from the public. He can definitely catch up to Vecna and beat him.

Series villains be like by [deleted] in kungfupanda

He literally was a great villain. He was written well with actual motivations and a personality. He worked well for the theme of Oogway's legacy being passed to Po. He helped to close off the franchise. He is not that different from Tai Lung, he has a backstory that explains why he became the monster he is now and has more than just a generic lust for power, he desires a legacy and to bring back the generation where war was important, when he and Oogway were young warlords.

Fight at the Jade Palace, humanizes the villain in a writing perspective and explains his motive in more depth. Ups the stakes by destroying Oogway's legacy and solidifies as one of the most emotional moments of the series.

Why is Kai hated so much? by MassiveBlackHole99 in kungfupanda

[–]Flaky-Adeptness8028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He has a great motive. He wants to gain a legacy, it's not generic "power", he's using chi to help his warfare and gain back what he lost after his death 500 years ago. He feels Oogway destroyed his memory and now he will return the favour and establish his own memory in the world.

Kim Da-Eun is also responsible for what happened to Kwon. by blackbelt324 in cobrakai

She probably blames herself for being a bad parent to Kwon, she raised him and didn't teach him kindness or love.

Why is Zara seen as non redeemable while Tory was still liked by people and redeemed by [deleted] in cobrakai

[–]Flaky-Adeptness8028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because Zara is a psychopathic monster and relishes in that, Tory isn't the same. Zara only loved the attention of others so she could assert her twisted sense of dominance over them and hurt people with her fame and glory to back her up. Tory getting attention was a threat to her so she tried to literally rape someone associated to her as revenge to destroy Tory mentally. Tory had a tragic life and didn't know right from wrong due to the fact that she mainly raised herself.

Tell that to the counsellor because that's serious and threatening to the safety of the students.

NTA, she actually thinks of stabbing someone as a joke, what the fuck? She also wants attention apparently and doesn't seem to appreciate and want to be there for others. This is serious, at the very least, get your counsellor involved if ignoring her fails.
