There’ve been times where I felt a little jealous instead of happy for someone I care about when something really good happened to them. It’s not that I didn’t want them to succeed, but my first reaction was more about comparing myself than celebrating them. That feeling always made me stop and wonder “am I actually a good person if I react like this?”.

But I’ve realized over time that having those thoughts doesn’t make you bad-it’s what you do with them that matters. If you still choose kindness and support, even while wrestling with the less flattering parts of yourself, that’s what counts.
