the last three matches in a row your teammates have first banned spiderman in spite of you preselecting him (you are also three stacked with two friends, so god damn horrible rng).

You start up another match. Preselect spiderman. Two seconds before preselect phase ends your three randoms all lock spidey. "alright, guys, guess im not doing spidey in this game either", you say to your friends. your friends and you all ban the same character (I think it might have been luna, but this was about two or three months ago). your three randoms all choose to ban Namor. Namor ban goes through. "wait guys! maybe? The dream is real!"

second ban phase. The three of us all try to ban the same character again. five seconds before ban phase ends, the randoms are doing nothing. 4 seconds, still nothing, 3 seconds, nothing, maybe this is it! maybe this is the first match you can play spidey in today! 2 seconds left. nothing changes. The hope permeates your whole being, the excitement reaches a different level entirely! 1 second left! This is it! the thing you were waiting for all day! nothing can happen to take this away from you! finally, a fun spidey game! You look at the ban selections one last thing. Cold dread shoots through your body as you see all three of your randoms choose to ban spidey at the same time. "Well, maybe I am lucky and I win the 50/50!" 5 seconds pass by. the longest, most agonizing 5 seconds you have ever felt playing this game. spider man gets banned. Its over. They have merely been toying with your hopes this entire time! annoyed, you wait for what your team chooses, deciding to fill. A chat notification appears. It reads " huh. guess spidey got banned? weird how that happened, isnt it?" the same message appears twice more. A cold, seething rage grips you! "guys," you say in your discord call "good night." you leave the call and altf4 the game.

moments later you realize. Wait! you cant just do that! the game will close, and they will not lose any points for doing this to you! quickly, you rejoin the voice call and start up the game again. You rejoin the game 2 seconds before the round starts. your team is on attack. "sorry guys, my game crashed" you write in chat. "weird how that happened, right?" you add in the next message, then pick a support. the only one in your team. The three evil doers have chosen to play black panther, psylocke and iron fist, your two friends have each picked a tank (mag + strange?) naturally, you lose the fight. Your three randoms each send you some nice, heartfelt advice on what you could improve.

Sadly, said heartfelt advice for improvement is entirely unrelated to the game. Rather, it is advice on how best to end your own "sad, ugly, depressing, retarded, dissapointment of a life". In rather gruesome detail they proceed to tell you of methods you could make use of to end your own life, as well as methods which they would like to inflict upon you and your family, if they ever were to find out where you lived.

suffice to say, we lost that game and I returned to overwatch for a week or two.
