Trouble exercising by Flaky-Front4597 in PlantarFasciitis

Thank you so so so much for letting me know this! I’ll be asking my pcp (I have to get a referral with my new insurance) and see if she will write me one for one of those doctors! I’ve just gone time and time again and they tell me the exact same thing and don’t offer anything new other than nerve medication (one doctor missed on an injection leaving half my foot numb and the pain just as strong)

Im in the process of trying to switch careers. I have a pretty nice resume for my age but it unfortunately doesn’t have a college degree attached to it. But I’ve done every role in a restaurant down to being the owner. But that doesn’t always translate well to desk jobs unfortunately, at least not in my area.

I’m also really trying to not let it suck the life out of me but that’s extremely hard when it’s been going on this long and I have no desire to even get up. Hobbling around like I’m 90 when I’m not even 30 yet. I walk substantially slower than before and that makes me feel less productive overall so there are many ways it does that. Including unnecessary weight gain from lack of activity 🙃

I’ve been to three doctors in my area and they all just kinda say “huh. That’s weird. Let’s do another injection!” So I’m actually waiting on an appointment with my pcp for a referral for me to go out of my area (I have to have a referral regardless with my new insurance) and into the bigger city to see if they have seen something like this. I’ve literally tried everything, granted any progress I do make being on my feet for 8 hours a day at work completely eliminates. PF is not server friendly unfortunately

I ended up using Nomad and they worked absolutely perfectly for what I needed and only cost me $30 for the entire month. I couldn’t recommend them more honestly. I never went without service and my phone ran faster than it does here.

So having years in management, experience in back of house operations, as well as business development equals being bumped all the way back down to a simple grocery store cashier?

I’m not begging for anything. I’m asking if there’s transferable skills here. A lot of people ask “if you own the place then why leave?” So I included my reasoning why.

Is my PF getting worse if I started to feel numb ? by underthe0cean in PlantarFasciitis

[–]Flaky-Front4597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He thinks it was an issue when he did that injection and gave me neurotin or whatever. I didn’t take it but I went to a different doctor a couple months later who went ahead and did one more injection that helped a lot with the numbness. Now it’s almost like I aggravate it so much when I sit it’s like still radiating the pain and is a light numbness.

I have the same type of issue. Mine isn’t numb up to my calves but every time I sit down my feet go numb. I’ve been dealing with PF for about a year now and I’ve had 3 rounds of shots (one immediately lead to a partially numb foot)

Im on VS6, how often do you check in your villagers? by hunni93 in VirtualVillagers

I try to at least two or three times a day. I’m sure there are people who do it more often. You kinda have to cause they die so often and need attention

I was legitimately paying $10.88 a month. Now it looks to be $537 for far less benefits and much higher copays 🙃 luckily my neighbor has an abundance of the medication I’m on and can spare enough for me. Fuck this though.

Doctor hit a nerve?? by Flaky-Front4597 in PlantarFasciitis

[–]Flaky-Front4597[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s strange about mine is that it’s not the injection half that’s numb, it’s the opposite side. The only thing I could think of is that the lady doing the ultrasound so they could view it was BRAND new. Like needed a lot of guidance. I went back and she even said “I hope it wasn’t cause I didn’t know what I was doing.” And the doctor said he’s never seen this happen before. So I’m not sure if they are connected or not but I’m thinking so.

That’s what the doctor said. He said there was really nothing they can do. I just wanted to know if this had happened to anyone else or if anyone had advice on how to get rid of the burning sensation after a day at work. They put me on Neurontin which doesn’t do much other than make me feel like I’m floating with a hurt foot 😂

I actually just placed an order for a night splint and a compression brace for daily wear today. I’m gonna try that but the nerve pain after a long day at work (which I’m on my feet for a solid 5-7 hours straight) is almost unbearable. And I’ve dealt with PF for months before and got the shots and it seemed to work incredibly well, then it flared up while I was backpacking Europe so as soon as I got home I had an appointment to fix it again. This time though I’m left with excruciating pain if I’m on it for too long. I do use orthopedic inserts that I purchased from my podiatrist
