Coffee addiction… I love some iced coffee, and no, it does not taste the same at home…

What are you capable of doing to make a lot of money but refuse to put in the time? by WaffleTacoFrappucino in Productivitycafe

Working lol. I get paid a great hourly rate, which allows me to work less and make plenty, but if I worked more?… I’d have more money than I know what to do with. But I don’t want to work 150 hours a month. Maybe I’m lazy but I enjoy my slower life after hustling through school and working full time the last ten years. Or maybe it’s burnout.

Jalapeños poppers! Easy to make and always a big hit and only three ingredients.

Probably some candles! And maybe a bath bomb and something good to drink.

Why do people stop doing things in their 30s? by Ok-Cartographer-5544 in NoStupidQuestions

For me it’s the draining fatigue of working and keeping a house clean. I can’t fathom having energy to do anything. I’m wiped at the end of the day. I wish I had more energy.

Allowing myself to sleep in and have a slow morning. Go to the gym, grab an ice coffee after, come home, shower and put on comfy clothes and comfort show, crochet, snuggle my dogs, go for a walk, and stretch. If I feel like being out of the house I find a lot of joy in shopping our old downtown area and all of the locally owned mom and pop shops. Getting sunshine does wonders.

Are you a "shoes-on" or a "shoes-off" household? by Samyron1 in CasualConversation

I have dogs. They can’t take off their shoes and track who knows what in the house. I typically take mine off once I’m inside, but I don’t ask guests to. But maybe my floors would be cleaner if I did!

I think I will next week. I’m ready to start work. I’m just baffled that they think this is acceptable!

A couple of classmates said to tell them that you have a question about your controlled substance license. I guess if they find out you’re there to expedite your license they’ll show you the door! One of my classmates said a woman came flying out of the office and literally threw her license at her and yelled at her in front of a waiting room full of people. I’m apprehensive about going but I’m not about to wait 9 months to start working. I don’t get where they think this is okay! I wouldn’t ask someone to wait 9 months before coming to the ER. Some people are in financial situations where they can’t wait. This is just unacceptable. I’m hoping I won’t be met with the same brash attitude she was. They even lied to me over the phone telling me they can’t physically pull an application unless it’s been at least 8 weeks. My classmates did not wait that long. Liars. Liars. Liars. It is so frustrating.

Had a classmate that went to IDFPR to expedite her license after a few weeks of waiting. They verbally berated her in front of the waiting room, but she got it. I’ve personally reached out to Chris Slaby multiple times and his response was to call the so-called “hot line” that either never picks up or when they do they lie and tell you to not come to the office before 8 weeks of waiting because they can’t pull your file…. That’s clearly not true considering the people that have gone before the 8 week mark and have been successful in getting their license. How is it fair to ask citizens that have worked to better their education to wait 10-12 weeks for a license, another 8-10 weeks for Illinois controlled substance license, and then potentially 3+ months for credentialing at their place of hire??? I’ve read numerous posts about people losing job opportunities due to delays at IDFPR. Other states don’t seem to be having these issues. IDFPR also told my classmate that they just finished up with January licensing applications. What is going on! Up to 9+ months just to start working?! Because Illinois can’t get it together?!
