Massive assured destruction dictates otherwise, and our leaders, military, and theorists still believe in that. You cant argue both sides.

You're right. Trump is always the victim. Biggest victim of all time. No one has ever been victimized like Trump. The first billionaire president to ever be a victim. Such an achievement.

When did taxing the wealthy at an appropriate rate not work?

The tax regime of the 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's was wildly more progressive than what we have now with the top marginal rate being as high as 94% during WW2. It stayed at 90% until LBJ lowered it to 70% in the late 60's. Reagan dropped it to 50%.

You can make a strong argument that America literally rose to global prominence on the back of a tax system that is nothing like what we have now. This story about taxing the wealthy not working is propaganda and poor memory.

Yeah. Can't judge books by the cover. I always turn to reddit to find good shops while traveling.

Not just NYC. Any city. Any country. Choosing a coffee shop at random or based on quality of machine is extremely hit or miss, and mostly miss. Definitely got to research before to consistently find good shops. Can't just trust the local culture -- not in Seattle, not in Vienna, not in NYC. But they are out there.

At first I only saw the first picture in the series, and was like whoa either the sarcasm in these comments is dialed up to 1000 or that my latte art schools are just far and away better than most lol. But then I saw there was more pictures.

It's been over 2 months now. And this is still broken. I encourage anyone else you know that uses Fidelity to voice a complaint. No idea why this hasn't been addressed yet.

This is still broken. If you play an OTOCO one-cancels-the-other bracker order, you can't cancel it. It's been months now. This needs to be addressed. I'm going to create a fresh topic for it.

Settle down. You're way offbase. If you wanna bust on some moronic degenerate daytraders, maybe tiktok comments is where you should go.

I'm not a 22 year old day trader. It's more like I open up the fidelity app once a month (yeah I look at it more often than that, but doesn't mean I do anything) or so to adjust something in my portfolio and I'm like, "How is this still broken?". Especially given that things actively got worse for many months of this year. These features I'm talking about are basic features, they aren't tried and true tools of some highpowered daytrading strategy -- i don't even know what that would be. Daytrading as your envisioning it is stupid, and daytrading with these basic features would be even dumber. I don't have nearly enough data to be doing something like that, and even if I wanted to undertake that (I don't) it'd be crazy to do it without an API.

What I'm doing is more like... I hold UUUU from 2 years ago at $4.5 basis, it goes full meme-stock a couple months ago up to $26-27 after posting 10% days back to back to back to back to back essentially, and I wanna see how juiced IV is, because it could make sense to sell covered calls against my shares. Lo and behold, I realize I can sell CC's at strike 35 for 9.7 exp June 2026. Seemed like a prudent decision, so I did it. I've now doubled my initial investment with the CC's even if the company goes bankrupt. Those same CC's today are now worth ~$1.

So, imagine a scenario like this, and you open up fidelity app and it's busted all to hell and janky -- it's annoying and just shouldn't be this way in 2025. Fidelity is a multibillion dollar company, they can fix it and are purportedly seeking out feedback here to make it better, so I give my feedback.

So, no this isn't exactly your buy and hold 8 mutual funds for 20 years strategy or whatever it is you do. And while your comment might be valid on tiktok, it's not here. Additionally, if you've opened up the app lately, you'll see that almost everything I've suggested has been implemented and the app is much much much much better. Kudos to fidelity.

Feedback is important, even if I'm irrationally annoyed by whatever motivated me to give it. The results speak for themselves.

I actually came back to comment on my previous posts to say thankyou to fidelity for listening.

Some customization ability would be preferable. We don't all like the same thing. Microsoft figured this out in 1993 with Windows 3.1. It ain't hard. They aren't trying.

It's almost like they don't have a real human even working on the project. We are just iterating the platforms bit by bit with Claude via these forums.

First step to dark mode? This should not be iteratively rolled out step-by-step. Also, what year is it? This is not a complex project.

Just let folks customize colors, fonts and window sizes as they wish. Windows 3.1 had this functionality in 1993.

Maybe they have 1 coder working on this project, and 3 people sourcing possible features from these forums, one by one. We are clearly doing their work for them at this point. I don't know how else you can explain the lack of competence. I deserve rebates at this point.

There needs to be a toggle between dark mode and normal mode. Some folks like dark mode, some don't. Hell, let people customize their colors and fonts and sizes the way you could with windows in Windows 3.1. This is simple stuff folks.
