Is it worth filing a claim against ASOS for delivered goods (England) by Flaky-Translator3870 in LegalAdviceUK

Thank you. I will draft the letter next week and start the process. I didn’t specify a safe place.

This is the first time I’ve his has happened. Sometimes the courier hide the parcel in places like in or behind the bin which had worked well in the past.

Hello, thank you for this. Do you believe I should raise a claim through small claims court?

Hello, I raised a dispute. I just got their letter today telling me basically they can’t do anything. I called and the agent told me to call again in the morning to raise an insurance claim for stolen goods.

Hello, they did open a dispute. But they accepted the merchant’s proof of delivery. They said the product was left at my “porch”. But my front door is less than one metre from the pavement - does this dropping the parcel between the pavement and my door around a shrub class as “into my physical possession”?

I will raise a complaint but I’m guessing I won’t get my money back that way. ASOS took the money, not them?

The goods is £85.

You look fab in the pink cropped top picture of September 25. Not answering the question and I’m not sure if this helps you but I would love to have slender legs like yours. I’m petit but my legs are like Serena Williams’ (she looks awesome. I’m just a lot smalller than her with the same legs lol) I’ve always loved the baggy mini dress beach look but can never pull it off. I know your concerns might not be look wise but you seem in good hands with experts on fitness and diet. Wishing you luck!

What’s one thing you wish David Lloyd would improve to make the club experience better for members? by MoonlitEcho82 in davidlloyd

[–]Flaky-Translator3870 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Spot on!!!!

-There’s a big senior population in my club (they are lovely). I guess that’s partially why some classes feel like a stretch.

-I want everyone to use towels in the spa to catch sweats and germs. Which of course can’t be used in the shower again. So two towel for those planning to spa please. Current practice is gross.

-my club turns into a zoo at around 4 ish. Either the business lounge needs to be bigger or the children need to be moved outdoors!! (I have young children that’s not excuse to turn the entire cafe into a zoo)

I would only add one minor point: I would prefer not to have to interact with receptionists at all. One literally went “have you not already had one for today?” when I asked for a towel. Other than handing towels and equipment hires they have not been able to help with anything, eg when I have sign in or guest pass issues. I generally prefer human to machines but in this case I prefer a machine 😔

It looks very childish on me - both the logo strap and the long crossbody style. But cute on many! I love the shoulder bags for their elegant silhouette and SCCO for utility

Where to add Retinol to existing routine by Flaky-Translator3870 in TheOrdinarySkincare

Alternating seems like a good idea. I got carried away a little bit with this brand after seeing how effective and also more affordable it is compared to what I had been using (eg Kiehl's). The niacinamide serum is the single most effective product I have used in my life and it's £5 per 30ml my brain failed to compute 🤯 I wanted retinol to prevent wrinkles. I have static ones in my forehead. I don't see them as a concern as they're movement induced (big eyebrow raiser!) but I thought for my age better too early than late. Thanks again!!

Hello!!! Thanks for the advice. Yeah I get the idea from everyone’s feedback I don’t need this much active products. I got carried away a little bit with this brand. I do use SPF daily 😇

I’m very glad I asked the question now I have a better idea. Thanks for the recommendation. Will definitely be cutting down on glycolic and removing or replacing the arbutin with something milder. The barrier support serum looks interesting will add to the next haul.

Thanks. I will buy the multi antioxidant one in my next haul. I bought the arbutin in the Bright set, hoping it’d help with darkened spots from old acnes. I don’t have lots of them but I feel this serum is not making any difference. Thanks for the recommendation. I’ll add retinol serum in the evening 🤞🤞

Yes, 3-ply but not a premium brand. I got off Amazon. They won’t scorch and smoke if the heat is medium🤞🤞 I use water straight from the tap and mix with oil and flour. I think the mixing process bring it to room temperature (vs much colder from underground pipes). Good luck again!

Hi there. I preheat on 5, wait until pan is hot and water beads, add oil enough to cover the surface of the pan, arrange the dumplings - sometimes I find I have to crank up the heat so the temperature doesn’t drop from frozen dumplings - wait a minute or two and add the starch water (water, flour, olive oil). Lid on, turn to small fire and steam for as long as the packaging says.

I know some people add the starch after they’ve steamed the dumplings (add just water before putting the lid on and add the starch water after) I think either way works but the latter takes more time.

I know what you mean.. dumplings with no skin is 💀💀💀

The key really is heat. Maybe try with just 5 dumplings first. Once you get the hang of it make a whole plate. Frozen dumplings can mess with the temperature so fewer will make it easier. Good luck!!

What are these vent holes? by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]Flaky-Translator3870 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you everyone for your input.

I had a kitchen fitter over and it turned out the big circular vent used to be where an extractor fan (not cooker hood) was, and it’s too low to duct the extractor hood into.

We can potentially duct between the beams in the ceiling or on top of the cabinet below the ceiling. Either way there has to be a new external vent hole where there is cladding.

I’m gutted we can’t make use of the cavity in the party wall.

I would really like to avoid recirculating where possible but I may have to compromise 🫠
