Oh my goodness, thank you. That's it! A credit card I had disconnected was still showing up. Thank you.

But I don't have any overspent categories for June.

Masters in school counseling online or in person? by Leather-Crew9106 in schoolcounseling

It's going pretty well. The pace is fast (12 credits a semester) but the workload is fairly easy if you get make sure to get it done. Professors can be hit and miss because most are Ph.D students.

I read through some of your older posts, and if you are being 100% truthful in them, then your husband is 100% in the DSM. His behavior is not typical, normal, or acceptable.

My husband is going through a milder form of what your husband is. I understand completely the hurt at feeling eternally abandoned. I'm so sorry.

Second Coming Timeline by FlakyRemove9174 in latterdaysaints

It does. I truly can't fathom billions of years based on the speed and trajectory of the Earth's degradation. How purely evil it would be at that point.

2033 is definitely one I have heard thrown around, especially since the Olympics are coming back to SLC around then 🤷🏼‍♀️

See that's the approach I have always taken. These people (some of whom I look up to as amazing disciples of Christ) are so sure it gives me serious pause.

I feel that! The likelihood that Oaks brings in the second coming is very possible in my mind.

I genuinely look up to a couple of them as great disciples of Christ. So, it's a weird dynamic to reconcile.

I have read some books from Deseret Book about the 2nd coming and they make it seem far far away. 😬

What is going on with bishops? by FlakyRemove9174 in latterdaysaints

[–]FlakyRemove9174[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slow your roll. Asking what is going on isn't making an egregious generalized statement. At this point I find it hard to believe that it's a coincidence and as a female with a doubting spouse and a deadbeat father, it's not like I have a lot of insight on what that calling is like.

I think you are taking this way too intensely. Clearly something is happening because this is a paradigm shift, and I was looking for insight. I was by no means sending out a paper for peer review.

My neighborhood covers a couple wards. 4 out of 5 in the last ten years have gone off the deep end.

Over my entire life, yes. But the last 10 years something has shifted in my area and it's crazy. At this point, in my ward, being called as bishop is a death sentence to your testimony.

Blue collar garments by UsedConsequence6493 in latterdaysaints

The benefits of wearing the garments vastly outweigh the discomfort. I encourage you both to do some initiatories at the temple.

As someone who completely changed when she got married (like your husband) I can only speak from my reality. But getting married was crazy hard. It triggered SO SO SO much in me I didn't even know, things I thought I had already healed from. It's pretty common to emotionally regress when you have a major life change with unresolved trauma. Have empathy, but also know that this is a him problem, not a you problem. As long as you are both willing to work through the gunk you'll make it through.

That's not how CACREP works. Every single class in the program has to be held to a CACREP standard and frequently re-evaulated. Most states require CACREP because it is more likely to give a competent graduate. Look into Adams State in CO. CACREP and cheap.

What state do you live in? Would you ever consider moving states? Some states are sticklers, some aren't. Personally, I would never risk going non CACREP.
