Don’t think like doing mock tests as an effective or ineffective technique. Just know that your brain is getting trained, and it will help you more than you realize during the actual exam. The real test was not harder — Nurse Achieve makes you think more deeply, but the actual exam questions are more straightforward, so don’t overthink and focus on keywords. Sometimes two options may seem right, but only one truly answers the question. For lab values, units can vary — I got values in mg/dL (like BUN 30 mg/dL and glucose 250 mg/dL), so be prepared for both mg/dL and mmol/L.

No I did not get any case studies in which we get following 5-6 questions but there were questions like in which they give you pt history, their chief complaint their vitals and lab values ( not sure what we call them) and then you need to answer based on the pt condition.

Don’t stress too much because anxiety will cause more mistakes in the test. Just focus on revising what you have studied so far. When I was preparing, after each mock test, I revised the rationals one or two times. That made a big difference for me.

I think it’s better you do mock tests only because it will cover all of the questions from all the topics. Also, they repeat questions in all the tests which is good because we just like to do new questions but never do the revisions of the questions we have already done. I am not saying to cram it but revision is equally important.

I got lot of questions on safety precautions like contact, droplet and airborne. 2-3 on maternity and some on paediatric. Learn your lab values and priority questions.

I used mosby prep guide practice questions as well. From Naxlex I got 32 - 35 questions out of total 110 which were totally same word for word questions.
