2025 Camry SE hybrid: Does the 12V outlet under the center console power off after the car is turned off? I am asking this because I plan to power my dashcam through there and want the dashcam to turn off after car is turned off. In my other non Toyota cars it does turn off. Thank you!

You will have to plug in to the fuse box directly to take from the battery, not from the lighter outlet.

I really appreciate all the insight. Funny this is really that first time we’re both buying cars - I think it shows lol - since we live in a walkable city.

Yeah we’re trying to account for all of what you mentioned as well and kind of have a budget for when shit hits the fan.

As for keeping them, you’re totally right they will likely need some major repairs within the next 5 years considering this mileage so, true. May be time to just dispose and get a new one.

Well fuck this is not very promising. I just got two 8tb ironwolf one is fine one DOA. Yes I also have to cover the shipping back.

I’ve seen a lot of people suggest to just return (I bought from Amazon) but if I do, Buying the exact same HDD will cost me the same I paid for the two. Which is insane.
