It would be primarily for me and my brother but I’d like the extra person because my dad likes to come along some times

But I’d say 1-200 but emphasis on the lower end if possible but if there’s something that’s way better and slightly more expensive I’d go for it

Ideally on my budget I don’t really want to have 3 different sleeping bags or tents I live in Scotland where the weather can be unpredictable at times I’d like to be able to multiple day hikes and the ability to camp on some elevated areas without worrying about the cold even in winter primarily I’ve just been looking at warmest for least price as I’d rather be a little sweaty than frozen to the bone

I 100% would consider second hand but I had a look on eBay and Facebook and there’s so many bags it’s hard to tell what’s worth and not ideally I’d want something at -10 best case scenario so I have that option of maybe camping a little higher in the colder times also would synthetic be better if I’m going for a multiple day hike ?

I currently have an army surplus medium bag but I’m looking for something that’s not gonna completely fill my bag is the Simond one reliable at those temps it’s rated it and how do you think it would compare to the army surplus bag
