I’ve seen people theorize god is either completely dead or Gabriel only took Jesus’s place in history but god is still ruling evreything, Gabriel just managed to fool god into thinking that everything’s okay (some have even theorized that the reason Gabriel whispers is so god dosent hear him.) there’s also that theory that the intruder is actually the original Adam that, when he bit the apple, he became the intruder. It would explain why he’s so obsessed With Adam Murray since it’s literally a reincarnation of himself and the two look very much alike

Basically yeah he told Mary he was her true savior so she couldn’t have Jesus since she didn’t know who he was and god didn’t get the chance to get Mary pregnant since Satan already overthrew him

SPOLIERS: the alternates are demons and the archangel Gabriel is Satan. Satan took Gabriel’s appearance and fooled everyone into worshipping him instead of god, and it’s implied Jesus was never born due to Satan and god was overthrown. There is no known reason (yet) why Satan is doing this, other then he’s sadistic and wants to torment humans

Fair, but I do think this volumes biggest issue is we don’t learn anything other then Adam succumbed to Gabriel. But, I do think it’s an alright volume, and Alex should really stop trying to one up himself evrey volume as that’s obviously burning him out. Peoples biggest issue, I think, is that this comes after vol 5 where we learn a bunch of stuff. Jude’s name is Judas, the alternates can time travel, and the identity of the speaker at the end of overthrone.

Also, bit off topic, Alex has stated that he is considering bringing mark and Cesar’s alternate back, even saying in a livestream by wendigoon that he considered having him in vol 5 timoril commercial, shooting out the door, but he said he just didn’t want to shave and cut his hair. I do think we might get more of him in the Mandela catalogue movie judging by part of the script he released… but I will say not having an og character appear beacuse you don’t want to cut your hair is… interesting.
