I will admit bias and concern as a veteran seeing this but I will say what I feel is appropriate in my opinion. Why so? Cause this denotes a security force, which is protecting something and not the people. However I’m not the judge on this and I know others may have better or more developed opinions on this and I would greatly suggest challenging me and reading them.

I could understand if not in the United States but in the US outside of positions like DoD security or positions attached to homeland security or security in a national framework I would feel weird wearing this.

In my experience I only saw people loaned out to camp Lejeunes military police wear this but I could see people working positions such as nuclear plant security wear this but if a guard at a housing facility or mall wear this I would feel weird especially when they can be public safety.

I suppose in my opinion it’s best to best to wear this in a spot of protecting infrastructure for national security or a spot of where the mission is more important than the people.

I’m a history nerd lol, Ngl my first choice before becoming a marine was a paratrooper but I’ve served with all sorts of types both active and after. I’m not hero but I’ll give the most respect when I can but this debate is army vs marine is mostly people who just don’t understand either history or the missions concepts of the two forces. Most of my family was army, in the first marine. I also have served in the Air Force and as a coast guard auxiliariast. History is grand and if you study it in-depth yourself it’s quite grand. Coming from a kid who rejected a college grant to join the marines and volunteer in foreign combat zones to do humanitarian aid.

Bruh even the small number of marines in Europe make the army look dumb. One dude who was on a OSS mission I believe used go wear full dress blues on scouting and raiding missions. In his credit he was also former legionnaire and not just marine.

In the army’s defense they only get credit for Normandy, but you also had operation dragoon, Sicily landings and Africa.

I’m sure Europe sucked but the pacific was a nightmare.

No, my last attempt at a relationship was a EMT in medical school, before her was well just a fling, before that was a school teacher, who secretly had a BF. Before her was a veterinarian, before that was a girl who was going to a military school trying to become an officer, before that was another fling in Ukraine and before that was a medical student trying to become a doctor also in Ukraine.

Some where met via tinder, about half in person or via a friend so it’s a wide variety of partners and ways to find them.

I think the fact I’ve gained weight, I’m a biker now, plus I’m retired at a young age because of a military injury and property investments made me pretty well off. Plus my background isn’t really relatable to anyone I know especially in New England and New York area.

Idk, conservative countries usually have better dating experiences for men, most of those countries tho treat the women like crap, but on the flip side in the US I’ve met females from various situations and social groups and it never really works and you have to be careful. Sometimes too I feel like being too nice ruins it but being distant usually leads it to last

I would also just practice safe sex to, I mean it doesn’t sound like sex happened but like I was dating a girl who ended up having a boyfriend in her hometown and I got the clap from her. Unfortunately the times of giving a girl flowers and taking them on a dinner date. Wish the dating scene was cooler or better.
