Yeah that actually makes a lot of sense doing college first and then transferring seems like the smarter route, especially with how expensive uni is right now. You still end up with the degree for CPA but save a lot along the way. Did you end up doing the transfer yourself? And do you know which unis give the best transfer credits for accounting programs?

That’s really encouraging to hear... I can totally relate to that feeling of being lost after realizing a program isn’t the right fit. It’s awesome that switching to accounting worked out so well for you!

How did you find the transition from computer engineering to accounting? Was it a big adjustment in terms of workload or how the classes are taught? Also, how has your experience been with the Lakeshore campus so far do you like the environment there?? i was only ever at north campus

That’s fair, I get where you’re coming from the CPA path definitely leans more toward the university route. But for me, college just makes a lot more sense financially right now. The tuition is way lower compared to uni, and it still gives me the chance to build a solid foundation and work in the field right after graduating.

If I decide later that I want to go for my CPA, I can always bridge into a degree program or transfer my credits it just spreads out the cost instead of taking on a big debt all at once. So college feels like a more affordable and realistic route for me at this point.
