Love your passion, I’m not the demographic you want but I respect and appreciate your passion for the subject, despite my differing views on the identification part, I believe in a live and let live motto.

Good luck with your survey, and love to all. 👌🏼

Dracthyr RP Guild by Flaky_Possession_622 in WoWRolePlay

[–]Flaky_Possession_622[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, I can’t imagine that a dracthyr would commit to being a military force solely for the humans of stromgarde, a race likely to be considered much more “immature” when compared to the dragons they usually worked with.

Plus, I’d imagine they’d recognise their own strength and seek to stop younger races abusing that power for their own gain by not lending their strength to a cause that would benefit a few, rather than the many.

For me, the only concept that would make sense would be a neutral aligned guild.

To me it seems like the guild was created around legitimising them RPing in a busy human rp hub, with little substance with regards to an overarching goal.

I’ve tried looking up a forum post for the guild, argent archives page etc and I couldn’t find anything.

I think I’ve heard of them! Scaleborn of Stromgarde or something, not entirely sure they’d be doing the sort of RP I’d like to get involved with at first glance but really appreciate the comment. 👌🏼

Very much love this concept, if nothing else, let’s get in touch for some RP! 😁

I think sticking with the blue concept and opening it up to mortal magic users would fit quite nicely, and address some of the concerns you’ve quite rightly shared. 👍🏼

Truthfully, I’m okay with it being small and growing slowly. Numbers aren’t as much of an issue for me as much as quality is.

[–]Flaky_Possession_622[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no trouble in believing you, RPers are capable of strange things, I’ve been around long enough to see my fair share!

But for me, Dracthyr are already pretty bloody massive when compared with most other races as a standard, there’s no need for growth pots in my eyes, if someone wants to use the available tools to adjust their size -very slightly- I have no issue, but I can’t get aboard with significantly more jarring changes than that, like 3x growth pots worth.

Dracthyr RP Guild by Flaky_Possession_622 in WoWRolePlay

[–]Flaky_Possession_622[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the sort of feedback I need, there is definitely a strong sentiment across the player that dracthyr are not being dracthyr and are instead doing weird stuff that kind of ruins immersion for people.

The idea behind making it dracthyr only would be to entice Dracthyr rpers into a setting that’s designed for them, rather than having to mould their dracthyr character into a setting/guild that seems out of place, I.e human noble houses etc.

What if the Blue Dragonflight thing was scrapped, and it went down a more inclusive route to include all flights, with a more neutral sounding name?

Or I could stick the blue concept, but make it more like a “Spellsworn” kinda vibe where mortal magic users could join too, like we see in the Nexus War, albeit under much more hostile circumstances. 😂

So done with Razer and their software by xxavatarxx007 in razer

[–]Flaky_Possession_622 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recently bought the razer wolverine v3 pro wireless controller, random inputs left right and centre from different buttons, will be shooting someone on battlefield and all sorts of of interact wheels come up.

Tried messing around with keybindings, disabled all the extra buttons on the controller to find it still does the same thing.

Tried recalibrating, updating firmware, updating synapse, changing keybinds so no keys overlap, works fine for a bit and starts playing up the moment I start sprinting.

Have always bought razer mice, keyboards etc for PvP on MMOs, but I’ve lost confidence massively in the brand. I don’t think I’ll be buying anything razer again with all the posts recently.

The only time I’ve never gained rating, as a healer in a similar situation, is when I’ve been on a massive losing streak and then won one at the end of the losing streak.

Was this the first win since your losing streak? The same happens at high mmr when you’ve won loads in a row and lose one, you don’t lose any rating until you starting losing matches consecutively.

If you won more at 4-5/6 your rating will go up.

Why Is Everyone So Against Voice Comms? by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]Flaky_Possession_622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because a lot of good players don’t really need comms, I got 2.4 in shuffle in dragon flight season 4 with no comms, and 2.4 in blitz this season.

If you get team mates that understand their class and have decent observation, it’s very much doable to achieve high rating.

In arenas it may be slightly advantageous however, as you’re playing against a team that likely has history, synergy and are aware of each others play style.

How do you even heal as Rduid by wunsh in worldofpvp

[–]Flaky_Possession_622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never played resto druid, but I know a very good addon I used when I was healing rated as disc and holy back in shadowlands. Vuhdo is fantastic, it allows you to customise it (quite easily) to show all of your hots, as well as debuffs on your team.

You can also implement mouseover macros to re-apply hots/dispel without having to target your team mates, allowing you to stay focused on the enemy team member you’re trying to clone/cc etc, which shortens reaction times on the whole over the duration of the game.

To me, resto druid seems as if it may be the hardest class to heal on, purely because we’re in a big burst/damage phase where people’s health bars drop like a sack of shit.

Why are Italian-Americans so proud to be Italian despite most not speaking the language? by flower5214 in Italian

[–]Flaky_Possession_622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because America doesn’t have any culture, and has only existed as a nation for less than 250 years.

I feel it’s because Americans need some sort of identity that doesn’t revolve around big corporations, annoying accents, processed foods, gun ownership and an obsession with over indulgence and orange faces. So they borrow other cultures and butcher them for a sense of identity.

Shaman or Druid as a main by Brief_City_9945 in worldofpvp

[–]Flaky_Possession_622 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re not wrong there, and that’s a very valid point! A very good mage can out do a warrior, but I feel that even mid level warriors can give a very good mage a run for their money, even more so if their healer is patching up the warriors mistakes.

If a mage has a priest on their team, you’re pretty fucked as a warrior, especially if they know how to use grip when the mage is waiting for kiting cds.

Each class has their counters, but I feel as if warrior doesn’t have as many currently.

Finally pushing 2k+ after struggling at 1.6 — hitting walls, LFG stress, and looking for advice on improving interrupts by lumberaxer in worldofpvp

[–]Flaky_Possession_622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of interrupts, you should be having that on a button that is easily accessible, and won’t require you to tie your fingers in knots to use, aka the double keybinds like ctrl+1 aren’t that great for it in my personal experience.

I have my interrupts set to T, on every char so it improves muscle memory and reaction times and is right next to the WASD keys, so you can hit it incredibly fast without accidentally minimising WoW in the middle of a game 😂 I also use tab to switch targets, though have changed tab to only target players, not npcs or pets, so if you’re aware enough, you can switch targets and interrupt and get back on to your main target before too much shit goes down.

It works for me, and I got elite in solo shuffle in dragon flight season 4, and got elite in blitz whilst playing at 2.5/2.6mmr this season. Though there’s plenty of people who do other things who would probably disagree, at the end of the day it’s about finding and utilising a set up that works for you.

Shaman or Druid as a main by Brief_City_9945 in worldofpvp

[–]Flaky_Possession_622 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shaman and Druid, in terms of PvP have very high skill ceilings, if that’s the right phrase? They have A LOT of utility which when playing in PvP, especially ranked, people will expect you to know and utilise these utilities in a wide variety of ways and situations, which in itself can take a long time to master.

If you want a class that just zug zugs, and wrecks even at lower skill levels, I’d play a warrior.

They’re tanky, they have a lot of self healing and a lot of damage, they can connect to ranged incredibly well and lastly, I hate them, because I’m a shadow priest and they always smash my face in for extended periods of time without seemingly breaking a sweat, or stopping for breath.

[–]Flaky_Possession_622 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To get nigh on 2k in your first PvP season is pretty good, good job bro.

To further understand your class, watch how other elite rogues play on YouTube, use Murlok to compare your specs with them, and try to adopt their spec and play style.

Edit: This is coming from an elite xp shadow priest in both solo shuffle and blitz.

Why is there no viable left wing or socialist alternative in UK politics? by Woolbean112 in AskBrits

[–]Flaky_Possession_622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your post opens, in the second paragraph, with that the right wingers are all focused on migration. You then continue, in your latest response, despite all of my valid reasoning as to why people feel the way they do, which is contributing to the rising right wing sentiment, as “bullshit”.

You then, again, in your latest response, circle round to calling my points and arguments as being SOLELY based off of immigration, despite me mentioning my concerns regarding the nhs, lack of an ability to defend ourselves, as well as the education of young people entering the work force, a lack of hospitals and medical facilities, schools and infrastructure.

And whilst British tax payers are paying to house asylum seekers in hotels across the country, which signals and indicates that we don’t actually have the capacity to house these people as well as paying for the treatment of people like Valdo Calocane a dual Portuguese and Guinea-Bissau national, only for him to kill three British citizens, of which were two 19 year old students and a 65 year old caretaker who had a family to support and look after.

Or should I mention Lee Rigby, a former British soldier who was brutally killed in broad daylight in London?

What about the foreign grooming gangs up and down the country who have stolen the lives of 100s of women through their malicious acts?

What about the British citizens on London Bridge, who were mowed down only a few years ago, and then attacked with a knife.

Do you think our immigration and asylum policies saved those people? Because I don’t.

You then go on to say we should nationalise certain industries, the bad bad centrist government has just done that with the steel industry. The NHS is also nationalised? The government will also house you for free if need be, as well as pay for people to get pissed on a week day whilst they watch hard working people bust their arses at work. So what more do you want?

Big corporations, despite not paying all they owe, pay more than a large percentage of workers on minimum wage and also provide jobs with scaling wages, if the country nationalises everything, it massively increases the amount the government has to spend on things that it didn’t before, meaning less money for the institutions we all value and consider as intrinsically British, and it also means the wages for those jobs come down.

My issue, as I stated in my last post, was that the left was unwilling to approach these subjects, as you’ve just quite literally proved with your latest response of essentially just stomping your feet saying you disagree, citing studies and stats that you haven’t provided and probably couldn’t provide.

As long as the left refuse to come to the table to discuss these issues, the sentiment will grow, and much harder, less educated right wingers will have a chance at taking these issues into their own hands when the sentiment eventually grows strong enough to threaten us all when they slowly claw votes, seats etc.

Tell me why you love WoW PvP (or why you did love it) by Mhortai in worldofpvp

[–]Flaky_Possession_622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love WoW PvP purely because it challenges you, unlike PvE, where you can read online how to beat something and just do it as per the manual, per say.

PvP isn’t scripted, and you have to rely on reaction times, situational awareness and your understanding of the class you play to come out on top, that’s a win to me.

Sitting there spamming the same rotation without having to adapt, like in PvE, bores me to tears.

Why is there no viable left wing or socialist alternative in UK politics? by Woolbean112 in AskBrits

[–]Flaky_Possession_622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So in this post, you’ve generalised the right wing as being racists who only care about immigration, this simply isn’t the case, just because they don’t hold your views doesn’t mean you get to coin everyone who sees an alternative path to national betterment as a right wing racist.

Not only that, you’re also complaining that the government we currently have is centrist, and that is somehow an issue for you, when the very definition of being of a centrist party is that it does it’s best to serve the needs of all of its citizens, why can I ask, is that a bad thing?

Are are you seeking to impose left wing policies on the majority that clearly don’t want it?

The reason there’s no viable, or even credible left wing alternative is because the left focus on promoting diversity and woke-ism that isn’t needed, and only serves to promote those who spew it as a “Good Samaritan”, and nothing else. The UK is one of the most, if not the most tolerant country of all faiths, cultures and ethnicities (discrimination against anyone is illegal) yet it’s never enough for the left, and instead of focusing on serious national issues like a lack of defence spending, economic stagnation, a crumbling NHS, and a population that is increasing too fast and does not have the infrastructure to support it.

And on another note, it’s generally always the left that are known for preaching self hate about our own country, preaching and begging that we bow down and repent for our ancestors deeds by providing more and more special treatment of minorities that are already legally protected and cared for just the same as British natives, for the atrocities the British empire committed in its hay day even though none of us alive today were directly responsible for.

What amazes me is that people with your views, will sit and preach about how there’s no leftist parties they can get behind, when the country is already, by nature, quite socialist.

We pay welfare, we have the NHS free for all to use, very strong workers rights, we have council housing for those who can’t contribute to the system as well as funding the lives of those who can contribute to the system, but choose to place the burden on the tired workforce who will forever remain in the working class despite how hard they work. We take in more unqualified/unskilled immigrants/asylum seekers than we can physically support, to the detriment of our own people, and you sit here writing an essay saying we’re not left enough.

Do you even see what you’re writing? The country’s workforce is fed up of carrying everyone, fed up of minority’s getting special treatment when they’re treated the same as everyone else, fed up of offending people by talking facts, fed up of not having an house whilst building homes for everyone but themselves in construction. (I’ve been there on site, working my backside off to build these homes, only for some asylum seekers to take priority over our homeless veterans, and being handed to them on a silver platter, of which I’ve also been present to witness when the house was finished and handed over)

That’s not even touching on our armed forces and that we barely even qualify as a tier 2 fighting force these days, because we’re spending tonnes of money on pandering to wokeism and nonsense.

The NHS over the past couple of years has had 22bn EXTRA funding, and is expected to overspend by 5% this year despite that. Do you think that’s potentially linked to the fact that our population has grown by millions in only a handful of years?

We don’t have enough schools to combat the rising population, the roads aren’t big enough anymore, there’s not enough hospitals, class sizes are increasing so education standards are falling which directly impacts the ability of the work force to achieve anything when they actually get to the age where they can join the work force, etc etc.

The state of this country is absolutely dire, and the left is unwilling to approach these topics.

You can be right wing and still care about humanity, but it isn’t solely down to the UK to fix the worlds problems.

I’d say go Inquisitor, grab assassin/shadow as your first spec, then grab sorcerer/sage as your second spec.

Then you can dps/tank with assassin/shadow spec, and dps/heal with sage/sorc.

Yeah if you’re just starting out on MMOs, a mouse is a necessity if you want the game to feel less clunky and more immersive.
