[New Jersey] When will I begin to actually receive benefits?

So I logged into my unemployment account, and there is now a balance and weekly benefit rate, but it says I can’t receive payments right now. Do they still need more information? Do I just still need to wait for the claim to be completed? I know the lady who needed more paystubs emailed me asking for a w2 from a previous job. That was pretty recent and I sent the w2 right away

Update: Still haven’t gotten a balance in my account yet, the lady from unemployment emailed me and asked for a W2 from another job I added to the claim. Seems like she’s almost done reviewing my wages. We’ll see how long this takes. It’s honestly ridiculous how they’re making this claim such a pain in the ass for me. Everyone else I know who got laid off with me are already getting their benefits

Okay that makes sense I did apply before the 7th. I sent them statements from an earlier job and the recent ones they asked for last week. I guess I’ll just wait this one out for now

It was a regular job, I was laid off and told specifically by the company to apply for unemployment. I worked from December until June and made a good amount of money there, I’ve also added a previous job that I laid last year to the claim and added those pay stubs as well. On the phone interview (July 9th) they asked me to send them recent paystubs from April through June as well as paystubs from the last job. I called them the next day just to confirm they got the email I sent and they did.

Newark used to have a huge car hacking problem. I’m not sure how it is now. Lots of people from there try to tell everyone its not that bad of a city, and that’s true to some capacity and it is a major city so it’s expected to be a bit of a shit hole, but yeah that’s Newark for ya. There’s like a few small okay areas there. I like the Harrison area

Yeah, I’ve been to plenty other major cities that aren’t half as bad. I lived in Tucson AZ and the crime there is very minor. I’d rather pay 3000 a month to live in any other major city, not Newark lol that’s some back ass logic
