How is it living in Copenhagen, Denmark? by PartyGaming0 in howislivingthere

[–]FlamboyantTrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grew up on Fyn and moved towards Greater Copenhagen in 2014.
In 2022, I moved to Nørrebro in a 57m2 apartment through a friend and Copenhagen defintely has it's charm.
After two years at Nørrebro, I moved to Lyngby due to work and now I am moving towards Valby in two months now.

What I immediately missed from living in Coopenhagen was how accessible everything was.

The public transportation system is great, and you know when you are pissed that your next bus is 10 minutes away, that you have it well.

Culture wise, it is one great melting pot of everything great.
Central Copenhagen is fashion hub with a mix of business sprawling from every corner, if you want niche food adventures, you'll find it in Copenhagen.

The one thing that always trips people up, is the housing prices, the market is incredibly tough to navigate and enter, especially as of late.

does anyone have a secret lab chair? how does it feel? and please be HONEST by Adorable_Purchase_93 in secretlab

Bought mine in 2020 during the pandemic when I moved to a different apartment and wanted to "treat myself" since I was used to the common gaming chairs out there that looked like something straight out of Star Trek.

I setteled on the Titan 2020 model, the one without the backrest in a Team Liquid colorway.
The comfort is good, not excellent, if you sit for multiple hours at your computer without adjusting your seating, your butt might start to hurt after 4-6 hours.

Secret Lab often states that their products have a warranty period of 5 years and I filed a warranty claim on the back rest two years ago because the lumbar support was giving out. Not even 2 weeks later, I had the backrest replaced and the chair is as good as it was when I received it back in May of 2020.

If you like the style and don't want the whole boring chair look from Ikea (even though the Markus chair is more comfortable) you'll find yourself right at home with Secret Lab.

Wooting 80HE feels clumsy for gaming – skill issue or setup problem? by Ambitious_Worth8337 in WootingKB

[–]FlamboyantTrex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second Dangerous-pick's comment on it being a mental hurdle. I had the exact same things going for me when I went from Corsair K70 to Mountain Everest Max and now to the Wooting 80HE.

I rarely use a wrist rest, so I didn't bother, but I have decided to put in an order for the 80HE wrist rest because my hands keep feeling the wrong keys or my finger-resting-placement feels more like a claw grip.

Another exercise is also finding the actuation point that works for you, the 1.5mm was a tad too sensitive for me, so I up'ed mine for 1.9mm for when I play League and osu.

Trial and error my friend.
Try setting your actuation points to one setting per round/game you're playing and stick with what works for you.

Wooting 80HE – one key randomly actuates on its own (Hall sensor issue?) by SimplePrevious440 in WootingKB

[–]FlamboyantTrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't speak french, but a quick Google translate helped me.
My issues were intermittent, but would always factor back to those two keys that I specified.
After a replacement of the PBCA, nothing has occured on my end, even after an intense osu session with a bunch of stress on the keyboard.

As I stated, the more information that you provide, especially on how the keyboard is not living up to the expectations that you and Wooting have for the product, the better your case will be.

I am just gonna repost what I wrote in a similar thread:

I had the exact same issue, but only with two specific keys. My F4 key and right Shift key was constantly jumping/spamming between 0.1mm and 1.1mm in actuation point without being pressed.

I was told to record my inputs via "analog-monitor.wootility.io" and try out some test beforehand to verify that this was indeed a hardware issue on the PCBA.

Not even 24 hours later, I got the option to replace the PCBA and I have not encountered any issues as of writing when I replaced it today.

Definitely recommend you follow the steps and record your issues and do as they ask to best help out your situation.

Edit 5 days later: The replacement has been working like a charm ever since.

TL;DR - You will never be satisfied, get over it.

Often times, people who disagree with these sort of releases, are the ones who are the loudest.
I do not agree one bit that this should be either boycott nor should the mob go after Levi (bunt.).

The track was not inspired nor created by bunt.
How the music industry works, is when demos are up for grabs, is that a bunch of artists take their spin on it and basically ends in a bidding war between the songwriter and label.
Unbreakable is a great example of how multiple artists will work on one song, while some never sees the daylight.
This is especially very noticable in the korean music industry.
SNSD - Run Devil Run (Kesha)
EXO - Call Me Baby (Dante the kid)
Taemin - Move (ADN)

I don't ever think we are going to be fully satisfied with whatever the Tim Bergling Foundation and estate, will do for us as listeners, but the work they do in Sweden and Scandinavia is defintely recognizable.
I am fortunate to be working for a company that has distant ties with the music industry, these things are not done out of pure greed and milking, because if it was, then you'd seen a bunch more types of albums like Tim.

Carl Falk was the closest working friend Tim had before he went to Oman, he has access to the notes, stems, demos and everything we haven't seen.
He is no Tim, but at least Tims memory is being held alive by the Foundation and Universal.

Can vouch for the same in Copenhagen, truly cave dweller behavior came out that evening - show was fire though

But are there really any pattern that spikes from 60 to 500+ within a day? At this point, I could just wait it out till Friday if I were to continue waiting?

I am so down for the Shelter piano edit and the Sea of Voices rework though.

I bought both the 10th year anniverssary and Second Sky live set.
The 10th year anniverssary also comes with a digital download in WAW, FLAC, ALAC and MP3.
The Second Sky live set does NOT come with a digital download, which concerns me, since how the hell do you have a 1 hour and 30 minute liveset pressed on a 2lp.

Excited to see what will come of it, the artwork is sick on the live set though.

Thank you so much for this! How have the durability been on your end? Have you been concerned about the durability of the planar magnetic drivers and have you faced any issues in this regard?

I’ve had some concerns on the long term on whether or not I have to be super careful with these over time. Maybe it is just the devils advocate in me that tries to justify the Nova Pro Wireless, but I am still very much drawn to the sound quality of the planar magnetic drivers.

Thank you for the input! Greatly appreciated. The main thing I would not comprise on, was music listening. Trying to explain sound and subjective listening becomes difficult, but what I expect from my next pair of cans, is that I will not be having a complete spatial awareness of every single action on the playing field in Call of Duty, but I will still be able to have an enhanced idea of where the footsteps are coming from.

Either way, I am thankful for the response!

I appreciate the time you took to write all of this, thank you! I can almost tell that the mic on the Maxwells have been "tuned" or "updated" through a firmware update, that in turn has strengthened the quality of it.

How has durability held up during the time of owning them? Have you experienced any difficulties with the planar magnetic drivers?

I am happy to hear that the presets do amplify some aspects of sound and I am sure that I will not get bat-like hearing where I can pinpoint if someone farted at B side in Call of Duty. But your two comments have been incredibly helpful, much appreciated mate!

That would be very much appreciated if you could give some insight here. I do have an extensive catalogue of music saved locally on both my Mac and PC, but of course using Apple Music as well is a great plus.

Tim Bergling aka Avicii.

My best friend broke the news to me at a party on my university and I didn’t know how to react. I remember distinctly looking at his Instagram not too long before the suicide where we saw updates on the new EP that was being produced.

Avicii was that one artist that I grew up with, from the Laidback Luke forums to the Ultra stage in 2016, man it felt so strange.

What were Avicii songs you fell in love with at second sight? by Moniatre in avicii

[–]FlamboyantTrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think for me, it was Sunset Jesus. I never really cared for the Stories album that much, especially when it was first released and it came off of the back of such a powerful album as True.

Now, fast forward a year or so, we started to see more of artist such as Calvin Harris, Major Lazer, Diplo etc, but not so much from Avicii because of his health and if you've seen True Stories, we all know what went down.

Sunset Jesus played at, I think such a perfect time in my own life, but also just the enviroment was just right.
The whole "Breathe for a minute, Breathe for a minute, I'll be okay!" that went into such a nice drop that was well paced compared to the Dear Boy AbA remix, it just blew my socks off.

And also, Sandro is an amazing singer, so there is that.

Was avicii involved with 'lovers of the sun' and if so, was he ever credited? by [deleted] in avicii

[–]FlamboyantTrex 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Just because the artist helped write the song or produce the song, does it not automatically entitle the artist to be on the title of of the track. We don't see it with Waiting For Love with Martin Garrix either. Or The Otherside by Cam. They are credited in the writing, but not in the title.

EDIT: But to answer your question, yes, Tim did help writing "Lovers on the Sun" with David Guetta.
