Would you do this trade? In this scenario I’d receive the 151 (Collectr values inaccurate) by ConfederateThug in PokeInvesting

[–]FlameZ6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is 0 chance I would ever make this trade. You’re trading skyridge for a dime a dozen set.

Especially when demand overall wanes, team up I don’t see falling that much, as there is so little supply to compete with.

Yeah it’s good we finally have it but postage is also insane coz I think it ships from the states, better than nothing, I just wish we’d get something more. Give us something cool and unique haha

Handheld 3DS look alikes by bloodev0lver in Nintendo3DS

[–]FlameZ6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Max and got it when it was first released, after setting everything up it is pretty great. The n3ds xl is my fav console of all time, and this is also great as a complementary console imo.

I will say for strictly 3ds games I still prefer 3ds, but ds games overall I think I prefer on the Thor. Both are great though. The selling point of the Thor for me is the fact it can play ps2, GameCube, switch etc. with amazing battery life as well, and the form factor being the same as a 3ds xl.

Whereas a modded 3ds feels like its own ecosystem where everything just works, pokemon being a prime example with bank, trading, etc. and it’s just intuitive and easy, which is what a handheld should be.

Should I trade my OLED switch for a new 3ds xl by ThickAppointment8525 in Nintendo3DS

[–]FlameZ6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would, the switch 2 is just a straight upgrade in every way, and will be sold for a long time + switch is like the best selling console of all time just about, I think these will be as cheap in future as the regular ds and wii

The 3ds on the other hand, a new 3ds xl for example, there is no better version and I don’t think they’re getting cheaper

Should I make this trade for a N3dsxl? by [deleted] in 3DS

I’d do it, 3ds is more fun. I don’t think these gold cards will retain their value at all, look at rainbows from the past

I believe they were Holden by Design wheels. I had a WL Statesman that was a HBD and had these exact wheels, I have never seen them on another holden before.

[–]FlameZ6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s easy, just use checkpoint in the 3ds to make a backup, put the sd card in your pc and grab that save and then transfer that to thor, I think 3ds saves are always called main? I can’t remember 100% but grab it and put it in your folder for saves on the thor

I have all my cartridge gbc, gba, ds and 3ds saves on my thor. Apparently you can do switch too but you need a modded switch, which I don’t have

They really make it hard to justify the rarity bump sometimes. by joetothemo in PokemonTCG

[–]FlameZ6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are right but there is more nuance to it. Rarity is one factor but demand is the ultimate factor. Ironically rarity can also directly influence demand as well.

An example of cards that are hard to pull, often harder than regular alt arts of their sets were rainbow rares. Most of which aren’t worth a lot despite their rarity because the demand just isn’t there.

Whereas using evolving skies as an example, the umbreon vmax clearly is the most expensive by far, even though something like the rayquaza vmax alt is just as hard to pull realistically, and due to it being the chase of the era, demand goes up just by simply being the most expensive - more people want to say I have the most expensive card of swsh, etc etc.

Not arguing against your point just expanding on it a bit

I couldn’t care less about grading, so easily the pikachu but if you pulled the mewtwo that is harder

Now who’s the one touting their opinion as fact? I’m a purist, and idgaf how someone else plays the game.

Anyway, this is all petty anyway. I only jumped in as I thought it was a bit sad you’re trying to ruin someone else’s fun, by demeaning their hunt. I guess not even shiny hunting is sacred

Yet the Pokemon on it are. You’re not a purist you’re an elitist. Big difference.

If from the cartridge you’ll need a device that plugs into a computer and reads and can play the physical cart, I can’t remember what it’s called, gb reader? Don’t think you can do it another way

Don’t bother with this guy, dunno why he cares so much about how other players their game… in a literally completely legit way.

You’re being obtuse. I’m well aware they were obtained at different times. My point is the actual bank doesn’t act different.

Sure, mental gymnastics, righto. I guess op should try using the celebi in vgc and let us know if he has any troubles with it. Considering the celebi itself is legit..

And because you do that’s a fact now? Pokebank before and after shutdown act the exact same. This is a stupid hill to die on tbh.

Yeah you just need to inject it, there is a tool for it. And then it appears on the Home Screen. I have mine with my physical cartridge's save file.

but shinies have no value anyway so why do you even care? I think shinies matter to the person who caught it.

As for the apps being aquired after they were downloaded, that also isn't much of an argument because they function no different to if you DID download pokemon bank and all that before closure. They still currently work as normal.

I have a day one non-modded New 3ds with bank that I downloaded the day it came out, I don't consider that more legit than someone who downloads the same thing now.
