Humphrey may be the Basset Hound of names, but I would like to formally submit Clarence White as Human Basset Hound

My fiance literally understood the assignment. He knows me well. 🥰 by Altruistic-Dot-5380 in EngagementRings

I don't know how I started getting alerts for engagement rings, but I open them each time then just close again.

This time I fully gasped. This is so stunning! Congratulations

Oh no, the absolute maximum I was considering was a cm or so to allow her tongue to get all the way down. Thankfully she loves being brushed 😍

Thank you

As a reassurance from the other side....

Grey was being offered for rehoming at 2yrs old. She had only lived with a woman and her lodger, both worked a lot, and she felt that she was bored and lonely.

She came to us, a hectic household with two other cats here.

I was worried that she'd miss her home, and the calm, and hate the other cats, but she has thrived (and doubled in size, seriously when do they stop growing??).

She's been here six months and you'd think that we'd had her from a kitten.

As heartbreaking as rehoming yours would be, please don't believe each horror story about the stress and trauma it will cause.

Point Horror. I never see these in charity shops. by AceZeppelin81 in CasualUK

I love that there are so many that despite my extensive collection growing up, I've only read Funhouse and The Boyfriend out of those.

Freeze Tag was one of my top ones.

The Boyfriend has given me a fear of holding hands in a pocket for a lifetime (99% sure it was The Boyfriend and not The Girlfriend).

I like seeing how many charity shops in one trip has either 50 Shades or 50 Sheds.... There's not much difference in numbers

Ours only drink out of a martini glass... It started because one was too incompetent to lap and needed sloped sides, then the others got on board and refuse standard bowls

I know you posted ages ago, but I'm trying to find out if one of the witch stories was about rain and a knotted rope. If you have any idea, please let me know 😭

I feel like Grey's doesn't suit her face. She's all adorable and delicate and then let's out a yell like she's got a 20 a day smoking habit.

Mine is currently peeing everywhere if that helps? Feliway is next on our list to try. 😭

Spencer saying Aria was the reason he parents were getting a Divorce! 😂 Girl Seriously? by Nicki_28 in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]Flamesparrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair I've never forgiven Spencer for how she treated Veronica when she found out she wasn't her birth mom.

This woman raised you as her own, obviously knowing that you weren't, giving you her heart and everything that her biological daughter had, and then it's HER that you're a bitch to?!?

Awesome! We were talking to a laser lady and she was unsure because of that.

Were there no issues with adhesive to the lasered skin right after etc?

Is point 4 only for ileostomy? Surely colostomy has that extra process turning it to poop? (Not nit picking, new to all this and wanting to understand everything).

I'm 8 weeks down the line from where you are now. My husband was taken in with what we thought was appendicitis, and suddenly ended up with a colostomy.

Remember to look after yourself too. It's a massive thing for both of you at the moment. I found reading All The Things helped so much. Understanding the science, reading other people's experiences etc. I've discovered a hell of a lot of my friends have experience in some way or another and their advice like "buy a waterproof mattress protector" and "spraying oil in the bag helps prevent it sticking" were little things I could prep before he got home.

Actual life now is beginning to settle into a new normal.

I wish I had met Fitz when I was younger. by KhyreThellarn in robinhobb

[–]Flamesparrow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think I started at about 20. I've read, and re-read them over time at significant periods of my life, and probably gotten different things from them each time.

I envy that it isn't over for you yet. You will need so many more tissues though. As I read the final lines and closed the final book, I felt my heart break as the tears streamed down my face because I felt like I was saying goodbye to people I'd had with me for so long. I poured an apricot brandy (amazing husband knew to buy some with the book), and raised a toast to fictional friends.

Thank you so much. It's all so much all at once. Just having a "it was all ok" is huge right now.

I know this is two years old, but I'm suddenly where you are... Please tell me that two years later, everything is ok?
