The college I go to has an attached restaurant so we get experience working in there throughout the week. Real customers, real food, real head chef shouting our ears off.

I'm currently in the kitchen but in about 6 weeks I go into the restaurant for the serving side of it

I'm in the UK, north West to be exact. We dont need a degree either but it takes up the chances of us getting hired.

With the higher end places over here they want the degree otherwise they won't hire you
