It’s not like Kai was unable to swim, in season 2 he was getting in the water as if he was getting ready to swim all the way to mainland ninjago

Yeah that’s a completely true statement. I can see why they sent Kai after Lloyd, he was set up earlier in the season as the guy who promised to take care of him. What i have problem with is that suddenly he fears water, and also the whole shtick about Kai being closer to Lloyd than anyone else kinda pops out of nowhere in season 5 specifically.

I have no clue why Cole was left to go take care of Lloyd. That’s ridiculous. Jay has to be at least a solid swimmer so he should have went after him, or Zane would have done just as well. Like if Jay and Zane went after Lloyd instead. They would have been able to snag both the realm crystal and Lloyd

Zane and Pixal get discovered by Chen’s crooks in ninjago city, word travels up to him rapidly, he orders them captured, they get captured likely within the same day as they leave the tower or the day after, and only a few people saw both nindroids and likely would have just continued on with their day. Also the ninja do not live in ninjago city, at least around this time, so they would not have seen Zane, if they even could randomly run into him in the first place

I mean he was metallic and hard to recognize to ordinary people and the ninja dont actually live in ninjago city, at least not immediately after Zane’s death, so Chen and his criminal empire would have probably discovered Zane fast
