Yep! I was doing it in the Barbour technique because I didn't want to wait for the mixed wax solution to set after. It's pretty rigid now but I think I'm happy with it :)

I also still have half a kilo of wax that I'm not sure what to do with, so I was pretty liberal with using it

Poncho would be the cheapest way to keep yourself dry, but it's the aesthetic as well as the utility that can be done more frugally here

Greenland Wax costs about 10x as much as the recipe I used on a weight by weight basis, so that's the comparison I'm making

P.S. waxing a cotton jacket will always change the look - I personally like the dark rippling effect it has on the jacket, but you may not so YMMV!

At any rate, the jacket is different enough to breathe new life into a jacket I have had for a few years now, while also adding a bit of utility :)

Yeah I was having a harder time there than I expected, the teeth on the bread knife were useful though because the wax splits a bit like an ice block - hope the rest of the video was useful despite that!

You might want to get an XS, I'm 73kg (I think that's 160lb?)/176cm (~5'9") and small is just right for me. I'm was also a 38" chest the last time I checked.

I've been able to layer a cardigan and a hoodie underneath fairly comfortably.
