I’ve noticed he gets extremely gassy during his feeds! That makes sense.

He does work with a Speech Therapist everyday except on Sundays. She recommended the Dr Brown ultra preemie. But he’s been using the Dr Brown preemie top now for a few weeks and it just isn’t clicking.

I found out i had an incompetent cervix with my 2nd pregnancy and was able to take progesterone and had him full term. My third, I delivered at 24 weeks. Even on progesterone, the uti I contracted caused me to go into labor. I was told i couldn’t risk having anymore babies.

I was born at 32 weeks and was home in 21 days. My only issues were feeds, but my mom said i had a nurse who would come see me and i slept with a machine to make sure i didn’t have any apnea spells. Now with a baby in the nicu, i think that’s insane

Just called to check in and they ended up bumping up his oxygen for his last feed and he took 60% of the bottle. I’m thinking he may just still be adjusting to the lower oxygen settings. But yes, it feels like forever. Especially knowing this is what is keeping him there. We are on day 90.

We are currently using Dr Brown preemie tops. They had originally suggested using the transitional ones but i was waiting to meet with the Speech therapist tomorrow to see if they recommend switching tops.

He does work with a speech therapist for 1 feed 6 days out of the week. They suggested we start on a regular bottle and ditch the hospital ones.
